Plz help!!! Young and depressed

Hi everyone,

I’m 27 years old, gonna do the procedure next week. my current erect penile girth is 13.5 cm. I’m very torn between choosing the Coloplast Titan and the AMS 700 LGX.

My surgeon told me that the LGX may preserve my penile length better, so I might lose less length compared with the Titan. However, one of my biggest goals is to have a larger flaccid penis. I’ve heard that the LGX tends to look smaller when flaccid. Is that actually true?

If I keep the LGX partially inflated with one or two pumps while flaccid, will I still have a noticeable “shower” appearance, or will it still look relatively small?

Also, is it true that the LGX is more likely to preserve my current length than the Titan? Is there even a chance that, with cycling over time, I could end up slightly longer than my current natural erect length?

Finally, what about rigidity and girth? My current erect girth is 13.5 cm. Is the LGX rigid enough, and can it adequately fill that girth? Does the LGX tend to increase girth over time with regular cycling, or is the girth gain generally limited?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have experience with either implant. Thank you!

I was implanted with the AMS LGX going on three years ago. I chose the LGX for comfort when flaccid. I am very happy with it. I've never had any issues with dog ears. It is much larger when flaccid than my original flaccid length.
The LGX will shrink about an inch or so when flaccid compared to your erect length. This make it more comfortable when flaccid but you will still be a shower. If you what, you can add 4 or so pumps and you show even more. I think you would be more than happy with the LGX. Good luck!

Considering you are young, id go titan. Much easier to swap out on revisions, which youll have many. Also more girthy. Also harder. And bigger flaccid. Less natural feeling from what ive heard. Im sure 1-2 pumps will get it inflated that it looks bigger than fully deflated. Newer titan if its out, has no dog ears too. I love my rigicon, but you need to be in a trial to get one in the us. It is the thickest one in the market currently.

Mangotin, You will more than likely become a "shower" and have a larger flaccid than now, regardless of which implant you choose. But you may get slightly more flaccid length with one device vs another.

In my experience absolutely not. I've found that there is now not much difference between flaccid and erect. I'm happy with my LGX and final size, but don't expect that result from day one. It can take many months of healing and cycling, sometimes longer. Pre op I was definitely a "grower" with a very average sized flaccid, probably no more than 3.5 inches soft. Now I'm 5 inches length flaccid (natural hang, not bone pressed) and just over 6.5 inches erect (bone pressed), which was my pre ED size. I'm only slightly above average erect girth at around 5 inches, so the LGX works for me.

Regardless of that, at your age it's worth considering the potential revisions you may need, so the advice about the Titan from 1984ptc is valid. The Titan will also be more rigid than an LGX, so may well be longer when deflated. It's also considered a better option for larger girth due to wider cylinders, and you are above average girth at 13.5 cm. And yes, with any of them most of us find that you can add a few pumps to improve the flaccid length and look, without appearing to have an erection. An implant can't make you any larger than you ever were, but if you have lost any size from ED induced atrophy it may be possible to recover it over time. Using a VED daily leading up to the surgery to stretch the penile tissue can help allow the largest implant that your anatomy will safely accept. Even doing that for the next week (with care) can have some benefit if you haven't already been doing any preparation. Post op diligent cycling can also help your corpora adapt to the implant so that you achieve the best size outcome possible, but it takes time.

Make sure your surgeon knows what you hope to achieve, and keep that conversation going right up until you are on the OR table.
