Post menopause sex salvation
Late last year, my wife (56 yo) started having some pain during PIV sex due to menopause. We had to stop vaginal sex, but continued with oral and occasional anal. My wife came across a news article about the use of a red-light treatment to heal vaginal tissue that had thinned and dried after menopause and the article included real life experiences of several post menopausal women who found the device helped them. It was expensive, but we bought it. It recommends 6-8 weeks of treatments before PIV sex and yesterday we had our first PIV sex in months and it went so well. Using lube provided, there was no pain and she was able to orgasm! The device is called the Joy Lux and looks like a fancy vibrator.
Age 68, retired in Costa Rica. ED related to relapsing remitting MS. Increasing doses of Viagra worked for 10 yrs. Been injecting trimix for last 10 yrs with >95% effectiveness. Erection 10/10 for 2 hours.

Re: Post menopause sex salvation
Thanks for your post! My wife seems to be suffering from this problem. We have had a great sex life over the years but she is having dryness and numbness.

I used to be able to provide her an orgasm not said much with my penetration but oral and toys always worked.
Unfortunately I had a prostatectomy and have been out of commission for sex. We planed to stay intimate with oral sex and toys but I just can’t seem to give her an orgasm! I hate that I can’t!
Your post makes me want to try what you tried. Is it a medical device or can I purchase on line? If so where?
I appreciate you help!

Re: Post menopause sex salvation
My wife was chemically induced into menopause in her late 40's to counter endometriosis. While that worked, she has had some changes to her vaginal tissue, and she has gotten tighter with less stretch. She always had a degree of pain on intercouse from having a tight opening and never having children, and the lack of hormones contributed to the problem. Fortunately she has retained her wetness, which helps. Her gyno put her on topical Estradiol and then later, a patch. She currently takes both. The hormones have worked wonders, vaginal tissue is plump and more stretchy, her skin overall has become more full, she very few hot flashes anymore and sleeps much better. After being on the hormones for 6 month, she looks like she rolled back the clock 10-15 years. That said, she now gets the occasional period that she isn't happy about, along with swollen painful tits during that time.
56, married 33 years to an amazing woman with a high sex drive, BPH, PD (47deg down to ~25deg) treatment: Xiaflex with Pentoxifylline & Cialis, traction. Able to have intercouse again - will implant if PD takes a turn (pun intended) for the worse.
