How long do you pump to get a really hard erection?
Do you go past the point of resistance? Do you use mini-pumps?

Four mos in. AMS 700 CX. Initial pump down to about 1.5-2 min. Some are faster, others slower I’m sure. Then while brushing teeth, etc. before intimate time, relaxation of tissue allows some more mini pumps. Then while my wife is getting ready I do a few more. During my daily cycling I can continue adding a bit every 2-3 min up to about 10 min. Six weeks ago I could add mini pumps through the entire 20 min. Pumping gets easier and faster as the tissue accommodates to the cylinders, but I think there is still a wide range. Not sure the duration matters if you have a partner who is aware. Given the reliability, worth the wait, for her and for you.

At the start, I can do about 35 full pumps, then 20 to 25 half-pumps. Later on, during foreplay, I do another 10 to 20 mini-pumps. But by the end, it’s rock-hard!

22 full pumps, plus some smaller squeezes, to get to 100% on my Titan. I can get very hard with 12-15 pumps and rarely need more.

Rigicon appears to require more pumping than Coloplast or AMS; the X model also expands in girth.

Regardless of how many pumps, it is dependable, and lightning fast compared to pills or injections.

After nearly 18 months I need more pumps for some reason. 30-40 quick pumps gets me just hard enough for penetration.
By about 60 it's reaching rock hard but I usually keep going to 80 or more, as I like it really hard.
I'm a fast pumper so probably don't press as deeply as some.

I use mini pumps after I think I'm at full inflation to squeeze a bit more, especially during PIV sex.
In the past couple of months I often reach the bulb run flat stage if I push it to my absolute limit.
But I discovered a "trick" - By doing a really brief partial deflate I can then pump well beyond my previous maximum.
I don't know if all pumps/valves do that, but mine does so I'll take it.

After 2.5 yrs post OP. I usually start pumping while in the shower. I try to pump slowly to allow the pump to push all the liquid out and into the cylinders. Then release slowly allowing the pump to fill completely from the reservoir. I usually get about 20 good full easy pumps and the another 5-7 partial pumps and another3-5 slight squeezes that pushes some liquid. By that time I can feel that my penis has built up a lot of pressure. Full shaft feels pretty solid. This has probably taken approx 10-- less than 15 mins. But by the time we are ready for sexual pleasure I am feeling a sore penis, so I usually lightly tap the deflate button a couple times. Really don't need a rock hard penis for penetration of a well lubed vagina after foreplay.
