Advice on post-op bathroom situations

Postby Bearskin777 » Sun Aug 30, 2026 4:22 pm

So... yeah, bathroom advice for the first few post-op days. I'm curious about peeing with whatever percentage of an erection I'm given after the implant goes in. I've had a knee replacement (no pee issues, hand held urinal by the bed first week or two plenty of stool softeners due to the pain meds). I've had a prostate resection (with a catheter for almost a week, then the hand held urinal and stool softeners). With my dick bandaged and at some degree of up, I'm guess rolling over and sticking it into the hand held is the easiest thing? But what about having to take a dump once the pain med issues are out of the way? It's not going in towards the water, so again - hand held or just mop up the floor, or... is it more or less same-old-same-old? Sorry if this is indelicate, but these are things I want to know before it's time to deal with them. I get my Titan 10/20 and my husband goes in 2 weeks later, so we're going to overlap a bit.

The way I’ve felt with my multiple implants is yes, use the urinal when urinating. If I needed to poop I would use urinal first and then set and poop. If I felt urge to pee again would just stand up and use urinal again. I generally use a fleet enema on a regular basis anyway but used them every time to help stuff move. Sure beats the straining. Sometimes I will refill it 2-3 times before going poop. Fill all you can take and let it rip. Been my saving grace thru my surgeries. I also reuse them multiple times just rinse really good after ea use.

Thanks Rider. Enemas are not a problem, and they make great sense for this.

Stool softeners: yes! You don’t want to be constipated. Being partially inflated post-op can be a challenge at times. When sitting on the toilet, it is nearly impossible to point your dick down. Here’s what I did: sit on the toilet, put your dick in your handheld urinal and hold it close so that any pee goes in the urinal and drains into the toilet bowl. Then you might have some personal clean up, but nothing went on the floor.
