Those are some long lived implants, almost all failed due to tubing. if the new Prime fixes this one issue, these implants should last a VERY long time.

In as much as id love to hope my implant lasts 15 or 20 years, realistically 5-10 is probably where its at. I use it every day and dont expect to not not use it regularly anytime soon. I have sex every other day with the wife sometimes 2 days in a row at 42. I usually jerk off in between those days. I think the on and off cycling will eventually cause the device to malfunction from wear and tear. Disuse will probably cause issues too. If youre happy with 2x a week, probably longer lasting. For those of us who get it while young, i doubt 20 would be the lifespan.

I don't think use is a good predictor of implant failures. There are guys who report using their implant once a week or less and have early failures, and others who say they use it daily and last 15 years.

Dr. Hakky said most failures happen at the tubing junctions at the pump, and suggested that guys who twist and torque the pump a lot have higher rates of early failure. He told me ro keep the pump as straight as possible when manipulating it, to put the least stress possible on those junctions.
