Sticky valve

Postby CowtownSlim » Thu Oct 01, 2026 1:22 pm

My cylinders wouldn’t fill fully and were self-deflating. My urologist was out of town and I became concerned that I would need a revision, just stewing until I could get in for an appointment. Fortunately, he was able to manipulate the device to correct the problem and determined that the valve was stuck in a half open position. Valve problems were to have been addressed with the AMS modification to the Tenacio, but it does occur with the newer device apparently, particularly in the first several months. The recommendation was to squeeze the deflate button firmly through the entire deflation process and to start inflation with a very firm compression of the bulb. So far so good. Curious if others have run into this problem with this specific device and whether it has tended to recur. Hoping this is not an early warning of a mechanical defect.
AMS 700 CX Tenacio 4/24/2026 at age 65. ED from early 50s. Pills and Trimix/Quadmix with side effects superimposed on limited effectiveness.
