Having problems with my titan

Postby fnrldir07 » Wed Oct 16, 2013 11:59 pm

Went to doctor today who does the penile implants and he definitely said there was something wrong he said there was no way I could have sex with the implant that I have the head is to floppy so I have to have a revision and that the tubing is caught up and has to be moved back and the implant is not in the scrotum where it should be so he told me to get a third opinion with a doctor that fixes a lot of doctors mistakes and that I shouldn't have needed a month off when i had mine i can go back to work as soon as i wanted. At 4 months post op i am still not able to use my implant. He also told me the surgeon who did my implant didn't put big enough cylinders in the shaft of my penis. That if the doctor had a problem getting the cylinders all the way up the shaft of my penis that there is a special instrument they have that can go down the shaft and cut the erection chambers so that they can get the cylinders into the head of the penis. So I have to go under the knife again to get this implant corrected. I will probably get a new pump to since mine is a quick release and it doesn't release with one touch that I have to hold it to get it released. The new urologist wants me to go to rush university to see another doctor.

fnrldir07,
Sounds like good advise ... get it out and re-implanted with a new unit that fits ... recovery time should be a lot less, and once you have a better fitting unit, you will be much happier for sure ...

Is the Rush University doc, Nehra? Are you allowed to tell us who did the bad surgery so others can be warned?

I think I may go with either Dr. Levine at Rush who does a lot of revisions or Dr. Krazinski who i liked who does implants all the time who when he first saw my penis when not pumped up noticed an issue and even before touching it, but he recommended i get another opinion to. All I want to say now about the doc who did the surgery is he has an office in Joliet, IL

With a revision do you have to pay for the cost of the implant and operation?? Or does the life long warranty cover a revision??

You don´t need to get ANOTHER implant, you need to get the corpora re-dilatated up to the tips correctly and then just add a rear tip extender to the current implant. A floppy head is a sign of bad performed surgery, you can get it right!

I know he is not replacing the implant he is using the little instrument he said my previous doc should have used to get the cylinders up to the head.

So my revision is scheduled for the day before Thanksgiving and this time i am not staying the night. So this should be fun but it will be nice to have an implant that I can actually use. Its funny to see the new doctors notes saying that with the implant like it is now it is unusable. The old doc says my length was suboptimal with the implant. That's funny since I was about 8 inches before surgery and am about 4 now.
