Why do they tell you to throw away leftover caverject?

No doubt a bunch of reasons.

First .. they make more money if you throw it away.

Second, there's no easy way for them to explain how to save and reuse it.
Technically you don't really want to inject again with the same syringe with the leftover since it is likely some blood will back up into the needle or further up.
Also they can't explain how you should go out and buy some additional syringes and draw out your ideal amount into each syringe and use em that way.

But since you are here now you know how to do it ....

One cautionary note: If you are getting multiple shots from one Caverject System syringe, you should not be using that actual syringe for any of your shots (except maybe a last one). Always use a cleann syringe to draw out the amount you need from the mix. Then on the last shot you can use the caverject system syringe -- saves you one syringe at least.
