Where to start, and finding reliable medical help

Postby becketma » Wed Feb 12, 2014 12:15 am

I just turned 65, so I can finally afford insurance and medical care!

I'm looking for tips about how to find medical help with ED and also low “T”.

My experience here in Tucson is that every Dr's office is understaffed, none of them, with a rare exception, can effectively schedule patient appointment times(30 mins to more than an hour wait), will not verify if they have the information from tests to go over during the up coming appointment, work on getting referrals when they have extra time, are rather lackadaisical responding to requests from a pharmacy and or patient for renewals for refills of prescriptions etc.

I've been here since 1989, multiple Dr offices, and was on the medical merry-go-round for three years while my wife lived in constant pain for three years.

After searching for information I see Urologist, Endocrinologist, hormone replacement specialists, small two man practices and LARGE group practice mentioned.

While I like my present Doc, part of a group of docs that rotate between multiple offices with typical under staffing problems.

Any personal experiences about where to start, tips on unusual Dr offices in the area, or even in the Phoenix area that are not under staffed will be very appreciated.

I held my wife as she died in a hospital room 11 years ago, So I'm a widower and occasionally have the opportunity to be frisky with a woman.

Best wishes from T'son
