I saw the urologist yesterday and finally feel I am ready for the implant. The injections not working well anymore and developed Peyronies last October 2013 and went through 26 verapmil injections and used of the extender which helped the curve but ED is no worse now than ever after the PCa surgery. The only intervention that really works consisistently is the VED. If any of you implantees have any advise or counsel for me while I am in the waiting mode; I would be greatful advise or any question I need to ask the MD. MD says I can still email him and he will resolve my questions and concern. I do want to thank some of you that I PM about the descision.
Doctor is going for the AMS LGX which I requested and tells me 6-8 weeks before any activity using my new me. I am still anxious about healing, pain with intercourse and ability to orgasm as took a while after PCa surgery for orgasm ability to return. I am like every man concerned about potenial length and girth loss. However after the PCa Surgery and PD do not see how I could loss much more. I am hopeful the AMS LGX will keep me at my present measurments. Hey guys any words of wisdom will be apprcieated.

sa,
There is light at the other end of the tunnel. I'm sure you've seen the vast majority of men with implants are happy they did it. I found reading through people's experiences on Franktalk helped me prepare for surgery, and after. You said the doctor encouraged you to contact him, and that's good. Don't be afraid to ask him anything that's weighing on your mind.
Just curious, who's your doctor? And what did he say about size loss?

Procedure will be a IU Health at Indianapolis (Carmel Campus)
Dr. M. Mellon trained at Vanderbilt University told me he does 80 implants a year. His thoughts on size and length was I will not get any more than I have and his focus was on function and his goal is to give me the largest implant possible and not to make any man smaller than they already were. Basically a loss in length 2cm and felt girth would be pretty much the same. I am OK with some loss for not having the frustration of the injections working or not and eliminating the PD curve. I anxious if I may be that one guy a year that gets an infection and done this for nothing and being worse off than before the surgery.
