Nervous about peyrones

Postby sliphill » Fri Aug 08, 2014 7:26 pm

I've read that injecting can cause this. My penis has always curved a little to the left when erect. I have injected now maybe 7 or 8 times. I've noticed that The curvature seems to be more extreme. I guess it could be in my head. What's the best way to avoid this. My thinking is to rotate injection spots. Can anyone share their experience.

I recall reading that less than 10% of guys injecting end up developing Peyronies.

Most docs recommend alternating sides, inject no more than 3 times a week, and try not to inject in the same place for as long as possible. Also feel along the shaft on a regular basis and report any unusual changes to your doc.

I have been injecting for three years without noticing any changes in the shape of my erection.

Like DT says,

With switching sides each time and slender 30 or 31g needles I have been going 3+ years now with no noticeable changes in shape or angle. Also I average maybe 5 shots a week (and sometimes twice on Sunday !) No curves... no fibrousness..

Some people do seem to have more reaction to shots that result in Fibrosis -- no one knows why, although fibrosis typically is a reaction by the immune system to something that is causing inflammation.

The immune system cannot knock it out so it keeps attracting more T-cells and essentially 'walls off' the region with fibroids. So Maybe those who tend toward Peyronies have an overly active immune system ( or defective )? That's my theory anywho -- I am waiting for my Nobel Prize...

I injected only once a week for about 1 year (alternating sides) when I noticed a curvature to the left as I was getting an erection...also my erections were not as hard and I was increasing the Trimix dose. I started to do some research and became concerned...I also felt some small pea size nodules in my penis...I had the beginning of scarring, Peyronnes whatever you want to call it...this was back in Feb of this year...the key to limiting or even getting rid of scarring is early treatment....I went to a Peyronnes specialist who prescribed Pentox, Vitamin E, CoQ10, etc....I joined the Peyronnes forum and also began VED therapy..I was determined to attack the scarring and get rid of it.....I also of course was advised to stop injecting...which I did...after all these months my last appt. with the Peyronnes specialist was last week and upon examining me he could no longer feel the scarring....Interestingly enough the Viagra started to work for me again along with 5mgs of Cialis a day....I firmly believe this was mostly the result of doing the VED daily therapy...Get checked regularly..and by a Doc who is knowledgable about Peyronnes....I would be vigilant..there is no cure for Peyronnes and it can progress....

Did you already have a curvature when erect. Did the peyrones make it worse? What is VED therapy?

To answer your questions..No I had no curvature prior to injecting Trimix...the curvature would more or less straighten out when I was fully erect. I did have what they call "an hour glass" look on the left side of my penis when fully erect (now gone)...that's sort of a slight indentation along the side of the penis...VED stands for I believe "Vacuum Erectile ...uh what the "D" stands for escapes me. Anyway, I purchased a medical FDA approved vacuum pump and began "light" pumping everyday. On the Peyronnes forum they have a protocol to follow....which is pumping up to where your penis is just plump..holding it there for 10 seconds then release the air in the pump for another 10 seconds...you repeat these cycles building up to 15min per day (start out for a week at 5-10min a day)..YOU DO NOT PUMP TO GET A FULL ERECTION..like you would to have sex...pumping should not hurt.. .what in essence you're doing is filling or drawing fresh blood into your penis...the penis can atrophy from lack of use and/or sufficient blood supply. The blood brings much needed oxygen and nutrients to the tissues in your penis...this helps keep the tissues healthy and can actually heal the damaged tissue....DO NOT BUY A PUMP FROM A SEX SHOP...those pumps can be dangerous and are not approved by the FDA...they can be difficult to regulate, etc...THere is an 85 year old man on the Peyronnes forum who's handle is "Old Man"...he has more or less perfected this VED protocol...He is a terrific incredible man who wants nothing but to help other men..You can PM him there and he will answer you and guide you..Also pumping helps limit scarring while injecting..but you should NEVER inject and pump the same day..you can cause more damage...Please note that I was and still am on a blood thinner (Plavix) and I probably should have applied pressure to the injection site longer than the 4 minutes I was doing.....but supposedly from what I read and was told 4min should have been sufficient...Hope that helps..if I can be of any other help send me a message. For penis theapy, you can get a quality non medically approved pumping system that includes a vacuum gauge for under $100. The advantage of a vacuum gauge is that you can monitor the exact level of vacuum. In this connection, you can pulse pump by varrying the level of vacuum from 2 inches of mercury (hg) up to 5 hg (maximum safe vacuum level). This mimics the natural cycle your penis goes through at night with night erections.

I actually use a brass brake bleeder pump kit from Harbor Freight Tools which I got for $17 with a coupon from an auto magazine and a cylinder from LeLove for under $50.
