Scrotal Swelling is this Normal ?
Hi all my bionic brothers. I was implanted with the Ams Lgx yesterday and my scrotum is the size of an orange. Is this normal ? Ive been laying in bed for 2 days now havent been in any pain. And I have been iceing everything down. I have a drain in to collect all inflammitory fluid. Just dont know why I swole so much. I was just wondering if anybody else has gone thru this same thing. And how long does it take normally for the swelling to subside. Thanks for any advice.

I would say that appears normal. Mine was about the size of a smaller orange but I have a smaller scrotum. I would make sure it is secure by use of a jock strap and keep it iced down - that helped me a lot.
It does get better soon.

Are swollen sacs normal after the surgery? Does a bear defecate in the woods? A resounding YES to both questions. I wish I had been limited to orange size; I was carrying cantaloupes. The key to reducing the size, and also the quandary, is to get up and move around. This regular movement helps the body absorb the extra "juices" in the sac. Unfortunately, it's a bit difficult to move around when you're toting some hew heavy equipment between your legs. But it gets better, for some maybe in a week, for others a couple of weeks. It's normal, though, and just a minor step in the process of becoming bionic.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: Scrotal Swelling is this Normal ?
This is my third implant in a year. I had the coloplast the first time got a bad infection then semiridgid and then the Ams Lgx this past friday. I had 2 scrotal implants then a infrapubic placement. I believe whatever surgery you go with you need a drain placed at the same time as surgery. It is a Godsend ive emptied mine about 12 times in 2 days. All the inflamatory blood that gathers in the scrotum. I had no pain or swelling this time. I know in my above post I said I was swole like an orange. Im sorry guys that comes to find out that is not the case. My jock strap had about 3 inches of gauze in it. I had to correct myself .My fault guys. I was in error.Sorry about that. But My first implant my scrotum was as big as a grapefruit. All that inflammatory fluid build up. So I really suggest having a drain placed at the time of surgery. And I prefer the infrapubic if possible. I feel like I could go back to work anytime. I want too. But im gonna wait just to be on the safe side. Take care My Bionic Brothers.
