Implant or not to implant.

Postby dtwarren1942 » Mon May 02, 2011 7:49 pm

I am a diabetic and have suffered from increasing ED for about 16 years. Originally 25 mgs of Viagra would do the trick; however, over the years I have had to increase the dosage up to 100 mgs for it to be effective. Over the past several years, even 100 mgs were no longer generating a hard erection so I started using a constriction band around my unit which worked well and still does.

Last November, I started using 1% Testim gel which increased libido somewhat but did not generate a hard erection. I still have to resort to a constriction band in order to obtain an erection capable of penetration. However, I am now able to achieve a 90% erection with constriction and only 50 mgs of Viagra. I have also been able to achieve similar results with an otc supplement (one pill 3 hours in advance and a second pill 20 minutes in advance) plus constriction, of course.

My first question to those who have had the implant is: would you have had the implant if you knew you could normally achieve a 90%+ erectio0n with a little pre planning and a bit of discomfort from a constriction band?

My second question is: do they work well with a slightly below averaqge size unit?

DT,

I fully understand your interest in an implant and would certainly support any decision you make in that direction. At the same time, you might want to consider the less invasive step of injections. there are numerous formulas out there: bimix, trimix, quadmix plus the brand names. Trimix works very well for me and I would encourage you to "give it a shot" before taking a sharp knife to the little man. Where ALL medicine is concerned, I just think less invasive is better than more invasive, assuming the less invasive procedure actually works. Let us know what you decide. YOu know we're with you no matter what.

DT...i am near your age and had a similar pattern of ED. Finally got to the point that i had to use cialis plus a constriction ring so tight it was doing damage internally to my penis. So i had an implant. Read "My Implant Journey" in this forum to see the good, bad, and ugly...downs and ups. Almost everyone who has an implant regrets not doing it earlier.
