New member Cincinnatus here. Thanks to Paul and the contributors for this very helpful resource for a topic difficult for many to discuss. I had an RPP (nerve sparing) in July 2013. Post operative biopsy indicated tumor in both nodes. Was diagnosed as stage II B. Gleason scores were 4+3 post surgery. They were 3+4 in the biopsy/ultrasound. Doc is confident he got all the tumor and the biopsy confirmed that. Surgery was textbook and had a fast recovery. Was "dry" after about 6 weeks. Sexual function is another story. My six week and one year checkups were clean. Psa levels were negligible. Go for a two year check up in mid July.
I have used cialis, vacuum pumping and Muse suppositories with little effect. At 6 month check, doc recommended I switch to injection therapy. Started on trimix and got a firm erection with 0.015 cc. The results were very variable. Some erections would last 10 to 15 minutes, some would last several hours and require 120mg of sudafed to knock them down. Went to an ED specialist for a second opinion and an attempt to see if I could get satisfactory results with pills alone. He put me on 5mg cialis daily and a 100mg viagra before sex. Since starting this regimen, I am having spontaneous night and morning erections. My penis will get erect and point above horizontal, however it lacks longitudinal stability. The viagra before sex helps and we are able to achieve penetration is some positions, but not all. We also have to be very careful stroking to avoid "fall out". Am seriously considering an implant. I will post most of this on the implant forum. Am very interested in implant experience of others. I live in Houston Tx and would welcome recommendations for surgeons/uros with a strong reputation/experience with implants. I am considering the three component version.
