Hi all -
I'm wondering if there are any 25-40 year olds who have had an implant for several years now (not a month or two) and can provide feedback on how it has impacted their lives, for better or for worse.
I see a lot of posts on here from young guys who are a few months in but it would be great to hear from some people who have had them for like 5, 10 or even 10+ years. Does your sex life stay just as strong as it was on year 2 at year 10?
Please let us know your age when you respond.
Thanks!
Can young guys provide advice?
Re: Can young guys provide advice?
I'm in my mid 30's and have been implanted for over a year and a half. My only regret is that I didn't have it done sooner. I've gone from Ed constantly on my mind to having the confidence that I can please any woman. The psychological burden of Ed is horrible especially at a young age. An implant done by a skilled, experienced surgeon will change that. My suggestion is to have a consultation appointment with a top surgeon asap
Re: Can young guys provide advice?
I understand your concerns, and I had pretty much the same questions.
It's hard to get this kind of info here since most users are older.
I did manage to find a couple of young guys and talk to them via private messages on this forum, and also saw a few posting here.
To summarize their comments:
Positive
-Restored confidence, made life much better, life is good again
-Happy with the erection
-Stealth - their partners were unable to tell that they have an implant. Pretty inconspicious
Negative:
-Loss of size
-Implant not being stealthy enough
-Erection looking strange/unnatural
The negative comments were from a single person, while the positive were from multiple people. I'm assuming the surgeon for the guy that was not satisfied did a bad job, or the guy had unrealistic expectations.

Re: Can young guys provide advice?
Do you feel horny if you haven't had sex for a day or couple days/ does an implant restore that in foreplay?
I used to get really horny but since having poor circulation with regards to erections this has been far less present (if I don't take oral meds etc)
I should also say thank you for your response and the answers you compiled to these questions before making this decision.

I've been on Franktalk for about 10 months, read every single post on all 71 pages and within that time I've seen 2 MAIN types of people... 1) Non implanted guys like yourself that are in the research phase. 2) Newly implanted guys like myself that have only had theirs for less than a year or so. Although a few will pop up here and there, you're unfortunately not going to find very many guys that have had implants for a long time because most of them have move on with their lives and don't see a need to research or ask questions. On top of that, majority of posters are older than us and have already fathered children before they had ED problems. So all of this is why you're not getting too many responses.
That being said, I read your previous posts and I know that becoming a father one day and libido are at the top of the list for you. Although those are great concerns to have, I don't see how having an implant can negatively affect the function of the penis/libido other than improving the condition that you currently have right now. I mean the implant will eventually fail one day, but until then my penis is functioning perfectly fine and I feel hornier knowing that I finally "work".
I was in a similar boat as you. Pills wouldn't work that well, pumps, injections, losing hope... sooner or later I had to face facts and realize that my penis was "dead" and waiting for stem cell research or some magic pill that cures ED would take decades and waste precious years that I could have spent banging. So even though there are some negatives to getting an implant, it faaaaaaar outweighs ALL the other alternatives.
Like Ed said, it's time to see a top surgeon. Kramer's a great one man, but since Calgary is closer to the west coast you could also consider mine (Karpman), check him out too.

Hi,
From what I learned, most loss of size are due to years of not having natural erections (use it or lose it), prostate surgery and bad surgeon skills.

Re: Can young guys provide advice?
Hi all - thank you so much for your responses- this is very helpful. Apologies if the details of my Continued question are graffic.
I am still curious how horny one is with an implant. I found that part of my horniness stems from hormones and a large volume of ejaculate build up (i.e., if I havent had sex in days). When I was healthy (and even now on the right dose of Cialis and with the right amount of time spanned since my last sexual act) I needed a strong erection to feel veey horny in foreplay. I would make out with a girl and have 'pre cum' on the tip of my penis/she too would get 'wet' from our kissing, etc. I'm scared that an implant would have me loose this part of physical intimacy.
When one is just hanging out with a girl for hours and not engaged in the act of sex how does your penis feel? - after all, I think that 90% of physical intimacy lies in foreplay and that feeling of being with someone you desire physically whether it's while holding hands, being at a restaurant or on a night out on the town. Can you guys relate to what I'm saying/trying to describe and how is it impacted by the implant? Is it too idealistic to hope to get this back from an implant and will I be dissapointed in this respect? .. I'm not saying that it's a deal breaker either way

Re: Can young guys provide advice?
So far I'm as horny as before. I bet I'll be even more horny when I'm given the green light for sex because there won't be the concern of it going down.
It seems to be as you're seeing the pumped up implanted penis as something that is not affected by your libido or arousal.
This is not true - pumped up while aroused and horny feels and is much different than pumped up "dry" without any arousal.
When aroused your pumped up penis engorges, becomes bigger, the head swells, and you have those usual sensation that you have with a non-implanted penis. I'm talking about the various groinal sensations. Those are all the same, only difference being is that you have to apply a few pumps to get it hard.
My point is that the implants works in conjunction with your libido and arousal, they enhance the whole experienced.
I'm under the impression that you think that the whole process is mostly mechanic - you pump it up like a robot, like some kind of emitionless machine, and deflate it after you're done, and that's it. This is definitely not the case.

Re: Can young guys provide advice?
Do you mean as horny as before as in before when you had healthy normal/consistent erections or before as in just before you were implanted?
Thank you for reinforcing that it isn't purely a mechanical device- this is by far my biggest fear; that when I'm not having intercourse / pumped up I won't be in the moment desiring the other person when I see, touch, kiss and feel attractive her or look into her eyes at the dinner table. It will be great to know that I can get it up at the end the night but that's more on the psycholigcal / mechanical side of things than something that enhances one's physiological / aroused state. I'm hoping that I'll be walking around with a real desire to 'pump up' my implant and that if I'm looking/touching/kissing, etc. an attractive women she will feel this connection - is this possible say at a bar if your dick isn't getting harder without pumping?
- this is by far my biggest anxiety with regards to my ED - I currently feel a lack of connection sexually say if I'm making out with a woman (and not pumped up on oral meds) because if I'm not 'getting hard' I'm nit really in it / truly horny. I just want to make sure I make the right decision.

Also, thank you for the advice / feedback everyone.
It's just such an important life size decision and I'm frankly a little frightened about it
