After my surgery, and before I could be released from the hospital, my doctor wanted to make sure I could pee. I wasn't able to pee enough, so I had to wear a catheter and bag for three extra days.

Several days after removal of the catheter, I realized I wasn't peeing enough. I dreaded the idea of having another catheter, then remembered the scene from "The Departed" in which Leonardo De Caprio orders cranberry juice.

I asked my neighbor to get some for me, and it worked. I was peeing rivers after a few glasses.
