Hi Guys,
I went in yesterday for what was to be my Titan activation 32 days post-op.
Well,..It didn't happen :- The PA who does all of the post-op stuff said I was
still too swollen . I think a big part of the problem was that she was rushed
and the easiest thing to do was have me come back. I asked her if I should try
squeezing it myself to loosen it up and she said I cold try but she was a bit
noncommittal. I'm scheduled to go back on Aug. 4.
I left the office feeling frustrated.
I wonder if I could "activate" this thing myself. Is activation simply pumping
this up for the first time or is they something special that has to happen? I'm
tempted to call Titan Coloplast and see if that really is an option. Has anyone
had a similar experience?

Not Activated!
Re: Not Activated!
Hey buddy...bet you are a bit bummed by it all. Yes...activation is just pumping it fully up for the first time. You can do it by squeezing the bulb as many times as you can. My doc said there is no chance one can over pump and burst the implant from too much pressure. BUT....learning to deflate is more difficult than learning to inflate. So if you were to inflate...and it hurt...you may have a difficult time deflating it. If you were here I would do it for you. If you had skype I could demonstrate how to do it. Jerry
Re: Not Activated!
my lgx was activated at 6 weeks and then my scrotum was getting "thin" from the initial thick walls or skin that was so thick i couldn't find much, certainly not the deflate button. Now when I push the pump unit outward I can visually see the shape and can clearly see the button. So, if you can find the button and can push it, your theory of being dismissed as a matter of their convienence may have some merit. Anyway, all this takes time as will the next break in phase. I hope you are happy when you see the thing work. Hang in there.

Hi Jake,
I actually activated my implant myself. Wasn't planning on it, but that what can happen when you get curious. Certainly give it a few pumps--get a semi, and then deflate. Get to know the mechanicals. Repeat a few times before 'going all the way'. Oh, and have fun.
