Hi - has anyone ever had or heard of revision surgery to improve the erection angle of an implant?
My implant works fine mechancically but the erection angle makes having the implant a waste of time.
If the angle can be improved through corrective surgery I would definately consider it.

If the implant works fine, it means you are able to have sex. So why do you call the implant a waste of time? I'm not happy with the angle either but my sex life has improved enormously.

You might try different positions. Some will allow you (or your partner) to tilt your hip bones to change the angle of entry.
The rear tip of the implant is supposed to butt firmly up against the crus of your pelvic bones. If that contact has loosened I don't know what could be done, but perhaps exercising your pelvic floor muscles might help. I am just guessing, here.

Re: Revision
I wonder, can one get a x-ray or scan in order to see what's the reason for the poor angle of erection?

I've heard that x-rays don't do a lot of good with implants. The best thing would be to talk to and visit a urologist that does a lot of revision surgery to fix problems like this.
You could email my doctor to get his opinion and see if he would work on you.

What's your 'bad angle ' mine sticks straight out. (perfect) RTE's keep it straight. When your dick is "in" it's "in". Is there any pain or difficulty in penetration? What do want in a revision? Question answered in earlier comment.

Mine points to 4 o'clock but I would love to have it pointing to the sky
I won't have that changed by an operation but I wonder what's the reason for pointing down.
Weak pelvic muscles? The rte's? By the way I don't believe that the rte's will keep the penis straight, just the oposite. Guess they are the culprits when it comes to a penis pointing down. Of course I'm not an expert, just speculating.

Hey strongagain,
I'm not sure if the RTEs are the culprit or not either, but my surgeon used longer cylinders and no RTEs to give me a stronger column and more axial rigidity. The result was a somewhat higher pump and deflate valve, but it is still reachable. He felt like the trade off was worth it because I was very concerned about losing length. Can you contact your surgeon for questions? Maybe he would email you like mine does.
