Hi,
I found this site by accident from a posting on the "Us TOO prostate cancer support group". I had RP surgery in Aug 2010 and have been dealing with ED from the surgery. I have been using the VED and Viagra but am not totally satisfied with the quality of the errection. On my last visit to my uro, I mentioned that I was thinking about the injections but wanted more time to get used to the thought of getting a needle in the noodle. I have been reading a lot about trimix and bimix. It sounds like there is less pain with the bimix. I am finding a lot of good information from this site and now that I am fully registered will do a lot of looking around here.
I would have liked to found this last September after getting my VED.

gjw..
Welcome aboard!
I am not a doctor nor do I play one here or anywhere else. I would suggest you talk to your urologist about possibly
having a "Dobbler/ Ultra sound test to check your venous blood flow or loose. It can effect your satisfaction with your VED
as well as injections. I failed the test rather badly but it answered why nothing was working. Having failed that left me with the implant.
Now I can truthfully say I should have gone this way years ago.
He most likely will order the test before giving you the script for injections. The test is really very simple.
It involves a small injection in the penis to see how well you respond and they measure the blood flow and loose.
You can and will get all the help from the guys on the site. Always check the chat rooms you never know who is there.
Good luck as you gather all the information you can.

Re: New to the site
Hi Hockey,
My ED is a side effect from the prostate surgery. I had nerve sparing surgery, penile rehab could take as long as 18 to 24 months. Things are progressing, but still a long way to go. From my last conversation with my uro about 1 1/2 months ago, he sounded like it would be no issue to get started on injections. I'm still a little apprehensive.

GJW,
May I suggest you read all of the posts under "injections" on this site. I think it will give you a bunch of good information. As for me, I've been using trimix since last November and I couldn't be happier. After 3 very frustrating years of not succeeding with pills, giving myself a little shot is no big deal. And the rewards are fantastic. Read up on injections and then ask questions. All of the prickstickers on this site will be happy to provide their input. When we have time, that is. We're pretty busy, you know. Having WILD MONKEY SEX!!!
Good luck,
Greg
