Experience with Elizabeth at AMS

Just curious to see if anybody had the same experience with Elizabeth at AMS. There has only been 2 times in my life that have left me speechless. The first one was when I had a 4 year battle going with Blue Cross BS trying to get them to pay for my implant. I had finally got a supervisor on the phone and asked her how she would feel if she lost a breast to cancer and then be told by the ins co we cant help you, thats cosmetic and not covered. She replied You didnt have cancer of the penis you had prostate cancer. Then Elizabeth came along and put icing on the cake. I was having problems with riding my horse due to the pain of spreading my legs so far apart. Her smart mouth answer was Go buy a smaller horse. I said thank you and hung up.
I did figure out how to ride without her help. I have the AMS700 MS and love it. This piece of equipment is wonderful. It was worth the 7 year wait. Its a shame such a great company like AMS will have one bad apple. I tell the men in the support group to go for the 700 but stay away from Elizabeth. Theres too many other things out there to spoil your day.

Love the story. Unfortunately, AMS can have an attitude problem as they think they have such a corner on the market. Sorry you were the brunt of such stupidity. Poor Elizabeth must not be very experienced and doesn't understand it's a package deal and all the parts must work for the penis to work. AMS needs to better understand and perhaps invest the necessary training and have a guy who understand answer their phones. As you know the best revenge is too live well- enjoy your implant and many happy trails as you ride with your bionic partner!!

You also raise a important issue concerning the discrimination men face as compared to women as we recover from our PCa treatment. The insurance companies, docs and ancillary medical personnel need an attitude adjustment and better education.

Accompanying FrankTalk is a separate not-for-profit organization- The Erectile Dysfunction Foundation. It is a start-up and will, when better funded, be able to address these types of issues. To advocate, educate and push for better services and better research for men with ED. We have already had the "opportunity" to work with the TSA over harassment of men with implants during screening at airport. Those discussion are going well. We will continue to protect our own and seek equal treatment and respect for members of this clan.

Please, continue your good works, keep your sense of humor and for heaven sakes- keep your horse. . . .

She seems very polite, and she eventually replied (after a couple of prompts) to my earlier e-mail regarding specific details of my implant: she said I have 21.5 cm long cylinders, and they measure 12-18mm in girth (12 mm girth normally, but can expand up to 18mm girth maximum). She said the cylinders for the LGX aren't available in any other girth, only 12-18mm.

When I subsequently asked her if "girth" means circumference or diameter, she said that it can refer to either one but that they (AMS) use girth to refer to diameter. (I always thought that girth meant circumference - I guess that's why I got a "D" in high school geometry).

I'm in the research process for an LGX and chatted with Elizabeth regarding warranty for it. She mentioned it would be invoiced at recent price and something else. Basically I found it hard to understand what she was saying. Does anyone know the warranty on the LGX? I'm paying out of pocket. Would like to know if after 8-10 years I will get a new one for free or charged.

I checked 18mm diameter and it equates to .018 inch in diameter, 12cm equals 4.7 inch and 18cm equals 7 inch, I'm assuming she meant circumference, cause even if she is measuring one tube, that seems fairly tiny.

1 mm equals roughly .04" X 18 is around .72"
