Should I just go ahead and get an implant??

Postby garry101 » Sat Oct 21, 2017 1:46 am

Hi guys,

So as I have posted here before that I am only 24 years old. I have ED due to an injury and I am looking at getting an implant from Dr Hakky. I am currently in the process of collecting money and should be ready for implant close to January.

But tbh I am starting to get negative thoughts in my mind. Maybe I am too young. Maybe I am not ready Future partners will judge me. Maybe I wont be able to orgasm and etc etc

Anyone else had these thoughts?? If you guys could go back in time and change anything about your struggle with ED what would that be???

Thank you and have a blessed day,
24 years old Canadian. Suffering from ED for 2 years due to a slight injury. Looking to get an implant next year. Can't wait!!! :|

Garry,
It is common to have doubts because an implant is a major step. You just have to weigh and balance what your life is like as you are now. If you are unhappy in your current condition the implant will be an improvement. I was 30 when I started having ED and just got my implant a month ago at 61. I think of all the years I could have been enjoying life more if I had gotten it sooner.

That said, you have to be totally ready to commit to the implant and if you are in doubt, you may not be ready. I can tell you my sensitivity and orgasms are back to what they were like when I was a teenager. That is not the case for all men.

Best wishes.
Greg

That is a long hard choice with permanent results. Think long, hard and if its is your style, pray. What to consider is how well to the other treatments for ED work for you and how committed will you be to using them. As for the ladies would your select other be comfortable with you if you had a knee or shoulder replacement? Same sort of effect, but a little more personal. Besides that if they won't accept you as you are they aren't worth your time.

You're too young to not have a working penis......you're too young to not enjoy the best years of your youth......

Perhaps your future partners should worry about how they will be judged by you......

Have you tried injections? At your age I would suggest at least trying the injections. Implants will wear out over time. An implant may last 18 years or you may need revision surgery in as few as five years. You could need 2-4 additional surgeries before the age of 60.

My recommendation is that you try injections, and if they work go that route for quite a while. Twenty four is awful young for an implant unless there are no other options.
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

Great suggestion, Caverject can be very effective but it is cumbersome and socially, a little invasive.....”er excuse me I just need to go to the bathroom for 5 or so minutes-to inject my penis, can you hold that foreplay for me until I come back?”.....not so bad with a wife or long term partner but a one-nighter or beginning relationship?...hmmmmm ....maybe.

Also, my doctor talked about potential long term internal scarring presenting issues after long term usage.....young guys certainly have a “rock and hard place” choice.

My gut feeling would be to weigh up the options very carefully.
If my implant is anything to go by the outcome is worth every bit of discomfort and early phase inconvenience.

At 9 months it is now a ‘part of me’ .......I am fortunate to have a partner who loves sex and so it gets plenty of work....I can’t imagine life without it and when it fails I will be straight back for a revision and that my BB’s; is the main concern for a younger man.... the fact that he may have to have several replacements in a lifetime......better than a non working cock I say!

Hey mate i was 25/26 when i got the implant i had ed from 17/18..
it is a difficult decision but one that i would advise you to make quicker rather then slower
but obviously dont rush it though... i say quicker rather then slower because if you cant get
an erection and you go your 20s and 30s without that most essential thing. it will hugely affect your personailty
confidence and everything inbetween.. i had a venous leak at 17/18 and couldnt get hard enough for penetration
till i got the implant at 25/26.. i tried everything, all the drugs, injections, muse, lotions and potions, healers,
fortune tellers, councillors and pyscho sexual concillors, venous ligation surgery, but one thing i didnt do was go off porn which didnt help me for sure but that discussion is for another day... if you have tried all of the above and more and your fella is not working than for me there is no choice... think about it, one of your questions is how will future people judge you with an implant, firstly if its one night stands you can excuse yourself and go to bathroom pump up... and say nothing about the implant.. if your going out with the girl well she sould be a decent person and she souldnt care, many mens partners on this dont care... now on the other hand you dont get a solution to your issue.. how will future partners judge you.... well you either wont go near women because of that disappointment of not getting it up or you will and you cant get it up. well thats a far more difficult way of life.... i wish you the best with your decision. i advise you to go with the best urologists in your country to maxamise your satisfaction with the implant!!!!

I can't tell you what others with implants will say because I'm not implanted, but I am your peer and I can share my thoughts. You probably don't have many or any young guys your age to talk to about this to work through so feel free to reach out to me if you need someone your age. If I was incapable of having intercourse right now and had determined that it is permanent I would not hesitate for a second. I think you have to consider things in the following way:

1. Am I able to have satisfactory/enjoyable/stress free intercourse sustained until ejaculation. (If no, go to 2)
2. Do pills provide conditions stated in 1 without severe side effects? (If not, go to 3)
3. Decide if injections or VED are acceptable treatments (If not, go to 4)
4. Determine to the best of your ability if conditions in 1-3 are permanent (if yes, go to 5)
5. Receive implantation from most qualified surgeon available to you. (then go to 6)
6. Adapt to new lifestyle with implant (physical/mental/social)

You're worried about step 6, and I totally understand that! The difficulties of adapting should not deter you from implantation because they are not as bad as steps 1-4, this is what the medical data and anecdotal reports here on FrankTalk suggest. Of course, this is with ideal surgical outcome.

You probably have more severe ED than me, I had an injury and can get erections for multi daily sex sessions with 10 mg cialis daily, however, my penis is growing more scar tissue constantly and becoming skinnier!!! Is 10 mg for the rest of my life acceptable, barely for me. If I wasn't able to get erections right now I would take out a loan, borrow money, whatever I had to in order to get a quality implantation immediately.

The analogy I think of is: if you have a bunk knee and could barely walk, would you continue to limp around and/or not move, or would you get knee replacement surgery, hope for the best surgical outcome, and adapt to the new lifestyle with the knee replacement? As men it seems different with our dicks, and that's because it's important for so many things so it seems risky. But ultimately, your dick is broken and there's not really any other option than "limping" around with it or getting implant surgery.

Peyronie's: 6 months, indents cause loss of 0.5 inches of girth, fibrosis growing, caused ED.
ED: 10mg Cialis daily, getting headaches, not interested in VED/injections.
Considering implant to avoid a lifetime of cialis and to correct deformity.

Have you talked to Hakky? He is my surgeron great guy he is very open about ED. Listen to his advise. Your dick is not going to fix itself. Anything other than a natural erection is a little non romantic. With the pills you have to take thgem an hour before. The pumps no way that is sexy I guess it could be if she was using a viberator at the same time. "Hey baby use this on high, while I slide the vacuum cleaner on my dick" The injections previous mentioned. The implant " tell me whem my dick is hard enough for you while I play with my 3rd nut"

Thank you and have a blessed day,
