Looking for a doctor in Seattle Washington?
Hi my name is Eric and I live in Seattle Washington and I'm totally set on getting some kind of implant. I broke my back ten years ago, five years later here I am walking. So my sensation down there is so so but my ed comes and goes. Well my questions are- does anyone know a good doctor in Seattle and whats the chances of insurance paying for it? I'm 30 years old and I'm just tired of not being able to perform like I use to. Oh last question what kind of implant should I lean towards. Sorry for so many questions?
Re: Looking for a doctor in Seattle Washington?
Which implant you should choose and why should be a direct question for you and your doctor. There are alot of factors and physical features that make one better than the other FOR EACH PERSON.
Sorry, don't know about a doctor. Come to Minnesota for an implant and you wont regret it
I was able to get full coverage from insurance, but i have Blue Cross Blue Shield's top coverage.

Hello Eric,
Insurance coverage will depend on your policy. Check with your insurance and see if it is a covered benefit or not excluded. I have a good policy with UnitedHealth that covers my upcoming implant surgery 100%. If you do have insurance coverage the next thing to do is to see what surgeons are in your network. If possible try to consult with at least a couple of different doctors so you can get a broader perspective on surgical techniques, implant models etc. I will be having surgery with Dr. Karpman in the San Jose area. He might be someone to consider even if going to California is not convenient for you. He is one of the few doctors I know of who will talk with you over the phone, answer all your questions and not charge you a dime for the consultation.
Most importantly, do alot of research on the doctors and the different implant types. One of the best places to get answers to many of your questions is right here on Franktalk. Go through the Discussion Forums, you will find a wealth of information from many other guys who have already gone through the process. I don't know of any doctors in the Seattle area but I'm sure someone on Frantalk probably does. If you have any other questions feel free to ask here on this thread or write to me personally and I'll be glad to share info with you.

Hello Eric. My name is Bob and I went to a place called Sound Urology Associates in Edmonds. I am not especially pleased with the outcome of my surgery as I lost approx. 3 inches of usable length in the operation. As it stands at week 10, I am using it and my wife and I are adapting to the difference. I saw Dr. Grier there and I was covered 100 percent through my insurance. My best advice is to do your reseach and find the best dr available. This Dr. does the operation at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds. Good luck and let us all know how you do!!

You might try the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Try this web site...
https://www.virginiamason.org
...and type "Sexual Health Clinic" in the Search box.
Also, if you don't mind travelling a bit I've heard a lot of great things about Dr. Edward Karpman, who is in the San Francisco Bay area.

Are you paying out of pocket or do you have insurance?
Good luck!
