Revisions

Guys,

I’m trying to do as much research into all aspects of the implant and being implanted.

For those who have had revisions, assuming it takes 3-4 months from failure to revision as seems to be normal, how does this downtime affect your psyche and your relationships? I’m thinking surely it must have a serious impact upon mood and your relationship? Still a small price to pay in the grand scheme but I just want to hear your thoughts.

You can have a revision done quickly. 6 weeks or so.

My last one was done in just over two weeks......

Would assume it depends on your surgeon's schedule and openings.

I asked my surgeon to wait 6 months so I would be covered by Medicare (plus supplemental insurance) then. Saving bucks made those 6 months worth it!

Good morning Defiant; I had to wait 6 months for the tissue to heal and the antibiotics to do their jobs. 6 months is a long time, but we found other things to do while we waited. I was super stoked and excited in anticipation of my new bionic buddy. Now that I am recycling it a few times a day, I can't wait to use it.
