Lifetime warranty with Titan coloplast?

Postby Hereiam » Thu Feb 08, 2018 7:15 pm

Does anyone know if the Titan model covers the implant for life? Or when you need a revision, will you need to pay for the new one?

Yep it is warranted. They will reimburse the Dr for the cost of the implant itself. It between you the Dr and insurance how much you pay him for the surgery

the warranty is for the implant cost only. That is roughly $8,000 dollars. In general, implant surgery cash price is $ 28,000, so you will still need to cough up the other twenty thousand (unless your surgeon agrees to waive their fee. Possibly, surgery fee is between 5 thousand and ten thousand. The hospital will never waive their fee, so in the very best case scenario, you might be out of poscket for just the hospital fee which might be ten thousand dollars.

THOUGH, please realize that these numbers are very fluid and very ballpark. Surgeons will somtimes relocate to a new medical center, so even at five years, if you need a revision, I would not be at all surprised if the only "discount" you get would be for the 8,000 implant cost.
