I was wondering who out there in the franktalk forum received an implant not because of
extreme ED or prostatectomy but due to Peyronies or Penile Deformity. Anyone out there
that received an implant to counter shrinkage or narrowing of the penis or for other reasons?

4 years suffering from peyronie's / penile deformity causing loss in length and girth. Cialis + Pentox but continued shrinkage. Erections less frequent and quality poorer. Attempting to find out more about implants. 40 years old

William,
I had ED from a Venous Leak and tried to get an implant and insurance turned me down. Following Prostate surgery I experienced major shrinkage. I was having issues peeing because my penis was so contacted. I eventually developed Peyronies, too. With the additional issues I finally got the implant.
My surgeon removed plaque from Peyronies and just having the implant to lengthen my shaft took care of the peeing issues.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

That seems to be the bitter sweet of penile issues.
Insurance will always attempt to disapprove...dang

I know. if Amy of our other body parts don't work we are encouraged to have the necessary surgery to correct the problem. It should be a human right to have a functioning penis.

So true... its more important than any other. but Im assuming since its not life threatening
people don't take it seriously or spend much time researching penile issues

I wonder if they would cover it in an effort to combat depression???

That is an interesting thought

I'm awaiting implant surgery courtesy of complex Peyronie's disease (80 degrees dorsal, 45 degrees left lateral) and ED (can get but not maintain an erection). My surgeon has recommended reconstruction (grafting) and a Titan implant. Don't have a date for the surgery yet (I'm in the UK, NHS waiting lists come into play) but will report back once it's been done as there seems relatively little info out there for those of us with complex Peyronie's as part of the problem.
54 year old UK-based, married, Peyronie's for two years. Awaiting NHS surgery (graft and implant) with Oliver Kayes at St James's Hospital, Leeds.
