Some newbie questions

Hi guys,
Been watching this board since I first started using TriMix and now have enough courage to post a few questions. I am 41 years old and started struggling with ED about 5 years ago. Initially started taking Viagra and Cialis with minimal results. Uro prescribed me TriMix (bottle says 10mcg on it) and told me to start with 10ml and work my way up until erection was satisfactory. I am typically pretty rock hard at 20ml and that is what I have been taking for the last 6 months. Couple of questions I have for all of you:

1) Does using TriMix have any impact on being able to get an erection normally? Meaning...sometimes on occassion I do have an erection without needing TriMix. If I keep using TriMix, will I get to the point where that is the only way to get an erection? Does it interfere with the natural process?

2) Do all of you switch sides of the penis for the injection? I am a righty and find it damn near impossible to figure out how to inject on the left side of the penis...so I have continued to use the right side. I usually inject twice a week. Am I am risk for scarring?

3) For the most part, 9 out 10 times my injection works...but there has been a few times where I must not have penetrated deeply enough. I see mention of auto injectors...will that get me to 100% success rate? Any specific brands (sold on Amazon preferably) you guys recommend?

4) Anybody switched to the gel vs. the needle? What kind of experiences do you have with it? Is it worth switching in terms $$$/benefit?

If you're using TriMix there should be other values on the label besides 10mcg as that would be for only one ingredient, such as alprostadil (PGE) which would make it a MonoMix, which is what I use. There should be values for 3 ingredients in triMix.

I'm guessing you meant to say he told you to start at 10 units rather than 10ml.

Yes, I switch sides although I'm right handed. I think switching sides is good advice. It was difficult for me at first but it has become much easier. You won't ever get adept at it if you don't do it.

If you read enough of the older posts you will learn that use of an auto injector doesn't guarantee 100% success although they appear to work great for some users. Are you familiar with techniques used by some to determine if placement is correct?

I'm sure some have but from my readings it the other way around. Generally, IMHO, it's the gel or muse users that find they need to transition to injections. Without going off label, it is also my opinion that TriMix would be a whole lot cheaper than gel. If you're actually using Edex or Caverject rather than TriMix then I wouldn't know as those are crazy expensive.

Thanks for the responses. On the question regarding needle placement, I have watched a lot of the videos so I think I understand it...but I will do a search on the board to see if there are more specific instructions that could help me out.

I, too, had trouble injecting on the left side. The last time I injected, I did the left and had success. I used my dominate right hand to inject.

Man, I do hope you meant units and not 20 ml! That would make a bull go into rigor mortis!

Hitting the left side always seems to be a challenge because I want my penis to be stretched out tight, pointing to the right, twisted to the correct "time on the clock" for receiving the shot, but I have to hold it with my left hand, which gets in the way. Practice this awkward injecting with a toothpick or something and you will likely develop a system that works. The back of my right hand, with the syringe in it, usually helps hold my penis in place while I maneuver.

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

My uro (auto correct want to use iron) advised thatTrimix induced erections forces in blood that reaches tissue that previously were not receiving enough oxygenated blood in the past. The increase blood flow helps to revive these tissues which will make them more responsive to erections.

In my case, I was able to reduce the dosage needed to generate a good erection. In your case, you may be able to achieve more unassisted erections.
