My cath has been out 3 weeks, I am still wet but am curious as to the state of jr. I want to try it but not sure if I will hurt myself. Any advice?

My doctor gave me two answers. The first time I asked about sex, he said 6 weeks. then, when I had to see him a second time, I asked him about jacking off. He laughed and said go ahead - "It's not as though anything's going to come loose!"

The bottom line is, they don't want you having sex with all the abdominal strain and thrusting. God knows how some guys get carried away and are bucking broncos - doctors do not want that. I'm no doctor, but mine told me to go ahead and masturbate as much as I wanted. "IT's good for your heart, too" he said.

I would suggest a lot of lube. nothing chafes quite like a limp dick when you are trying to get off. The first orgasms are weird...sometimes almost painful - but they will get better. Many guys have better orgasms post surgery...longer, more intense.

Yes, I had about the same experience. Kind of painful when jacking off the first few weeks. But, now, a year later, masturbation is great again. This is my third implant, and this time the pump is bigger than before (I have a Titan now), and it weighs down my scrotum a lot. It bangs around while I jack, but even that has gotten rather pleasureable. Bill

I had surgery 6 weeks ago and have masturbated 3 times since. The first time it hurt like hell , the second time the "good" overcame the "bad" , and the last time which was yesterday felt great! Except for the fact that I pee instead of ejaculating, it's quite enjoyable.
Which brings up the question; do you ever regain control of your bladder completely? There's no way that I'll let my wife mess with me until I can be sure not to urinate on her.
My doctor was vague on the time line and made it seem as though he really had no definitive answer.
Please, if anybody can help me on this I'd appreciate it.

Yes, rest assured, most men ejaculate urine...but it just doesn't feel the same, does it? too watery, I think. LOL

Anyway, yes, as things get better, this will go away. The erection itself will also help with this...the pressure on the urethra helps block it off. Give yourself a few months. Meanwhile urinate before sex and with her on top it will just about ensure a dry orgasm.

As of Tuesday, Oct 25, It was three weeks since the robot removed my prostate. Supposedly the nerve bundles were spared, only time will tell. While I am not big, it seems that I lost something during the urethral re-connection, so I don't have much to work with right now. As time goes on, and the skin down there readjusts, things should get better.

I've played around a little, since it, or me is still sensitive, I didn't do too much even though my doc said I could start playing around once the catheter came our (a week after surgery). I didn't try that soon, but did earlier this week. Today I tried again, and sure, enough, even with a flaccid willy, I had what I assume was an orgasm. It wasn't a fantastic one, but the fact that it occurred, brought me to tears. I can only hope things improve

I am 10 months since robotic prostatectomy and for me things just keep on improving steadily. I was also concerned about length initially but that seems to have been temporary. Orgasms keep getting stronger and last longer too! Still waiting for natural erections to return but meanwhile the pump seems to work well.

I am almost fight months post RRP and masterbated week after the cath was out. The orgsam was OK nothing as good as pre surgery but I too was just glad to know I could get off. I also started using a Osborn VED pump two weeks after the cath was out and now size is almost the same as pre surgery. I think things are improving but using the pump, taking cialis and using trimix injections every third day. I am still hopeful and waiting for the nerves to wake up as all nerves were spared during the surgery. I masterbate daily when using the pump but not to climax just for therapy.
