The Asheville VA just did a new install and I'm more enthusiastic about this one than any previous surgeries. They even performed a scrotalplasty. Once I'm all healed, I'm thinking of becoming scrotum model
Well, this surgery was extensive and by far the most painful. I'm heavily sedated and probably making all kinds of Typo's, so I'll go for now, and check back in a few days.

A lot more pain this time. Dr. said he placed the cylinder charging tubes WAY further back than previously so that they exit corpora right at the pubic bone (instead of half-way up my penis as previously), and the pump (I'm told) sits much lower in the scrotum. To make this happen required much larger incision in the corpora, not to mention the extra force required to push everything further back. He told me to expect much more pain and bruising than before, and that prediction is coming true.
There is too much swelling for me to determine where anything is at. He also determind that my scrotum was really streached and scared from previous implants not being done correctly, so he did a scrotalplasty and corrected all that too. This doctor predicts I'll be overwhelmingly happy with the end result, and I kind of believe him too.
Only time will tell, but I feel like my implant was done by an Artist / Doctor.

No one deserves a quality final outcome more than you do. So glad that you feel you are on the right track. What a great doctor. Keep us posted. Hey, even take a few pics!

Re: Home and recovering from 3rd implant...
Well, here's an update. Shortly after my surgery and last post, I had to make a trip to the VA's ER (or ED as they call it). My testicles swelled up to the size of a cantaloupe (not exaggerating). My penis swelled up like a summer sausage. The local VA put me on some antibiotics and transported me to to the VA hospital in Asheville by ambulance.
After being evaluated by several doctors, I was taken into the OR and the implant was removed. They did a wash-out procedure to clean out all the infection and installed a malleable implant to prevent the collapse of tissues so that scaring formations won't prevent a future ipp if I decided to try again.
I got released today with a PIC line and 6 more weeks of IV antibiotics and a home nurse. This is a nightmare. The only upside is that the malleable implant may function so well that I won't need a future implant (that is if the infection goes away and the current implant doesn't have to be removed).
So this is my 4th implant, so far there has been nothing easy about this, and I don't know when it will ever be over, or if I'll ever have a happy ending with this issue.

Yeah, I'm pretty depressed and near the end of my rope. I'm going to press forward however and TRY to eventually have a well working penis. I just don't know if that's ever going to become a reality for me. I'm hoping that after all this swelling and redicules hardness of swollen tissue goes down, that maybe the bendable implant will work out okay for us. I've read posts from otheres that are happy with them. Perhaps it'll work out for me too, and I can get off this surgery-go-round.
