Good for you, broken arrow. So what happens? You take the levitra first and then give it time to 'prove' and then use the pump for backup?
I tried Muse last night - 1 mg, the maximum dose. It just gave me an ache and numbed any sensations of pleasure. It was just a living dildo for my wife, but I felt nothing.
The pump, defective as it is, makes pleasure possible.

Used the pump this morning. Before that, with some foreplay, my wife helped me achieve a natural erection. Of course it wasn't rock hard or long. But after she moistened it for a minute or so with her mouth I slipped a constriction ring on, and we were able to have intercourse for several minutes. But I needed the pump after that, with two rings. It's okay for a while. And even thoughy I couldn't get anywhere close to an orgasm within 30 minutes, I was really surprised that my wife did. I think it was the foreplay and the fact that while resting from my exertions I massaged her clit with the thumb of my right hand and her G spot with the forefinger of my left hand. Well, that's an achievement for me. I think that in all the years of our marriage she could count maybe 5 orgasms, and at least two of them have happened in the past two months. That's good going for someone with e.d. I'm glad to be making her happier.
So for us e.d. has had one upside.

What a wonderful success for you both. Congratulations!!!!!

I'm telling you guys you gotta reachout and touch someone other then yourself. Your not some whipped puppy but a living breathing sexual animal who needs to learn some new tricks. There is a sexual life after all you been through but you must seek it and be ready for disappointment while on the journey. Not everything will work but enough will work to make it worthwhile. What used to work is gone.

You must seek new and different for you both.

Thanks Jim. I think we can say that we're re-inventing ourselves. It's something we all have to do. And it's great to face a set of challenges and discover new things. I feel proud of myself for discovering new ways to please my wife - and myself - in bed. We found something new last night for our lovemaking. She sits at the end of our bed, lies back and ready for me to enter. And having a wardrobe near the end of the bed, I can push with both feet or just one foot against the wardrobe as I thrust into her. Man does that give me more boost! It's wonderful. I almost curse myself for not discovering something so obvious and simple many years ago. But better late than never.

That is very true.

Before surgery, a wink or smile from a pretty lady would have caused an immediate response. Actually, even the thought of something naughty caused an immediate response.

A year ago, I didn't think anything was going to improve after surgery. It wasn't until I started trimix last December, that I thought I had a good chance. Fortunately, I kept getting more sensitive to trimix and had to stop. That's when levitra by itself started working...and now it's working pretty good and consistently.

There were lots of improvements and setbacks on the way to where I am now. But, the overall trend was a slow but steady overall improvement. I hope it continues...

I'm still not "cured" of ED. I'll have that to some degree I'm sure for the rest of my life. However, compared to a year ago, I am pretty happy today. Onwards and upwards...

I wish someone had said at the beginning of the whole thing, to think in terms of years, not months for ED recovery after surgery. It is great to be better, but at the 6-9 month marks, it was getting pretty dismal. One of my goals is to keep men's expectations realistic. We can all handle reality if we know what a likely reality is. If it happens sooner for some guys, great. But if it takes two years, it is nice to know that up front!

Absolutely right Paul and thanks for putting it in the right words.

My surgeon and his resident told me at the one year mark, post-op, what I have now is what I'll have. It won't get better. My ED doc disagreed and so did I.

As you said, If I would've known it was a 2 year trip. I would've had less anxiety/depression over the whole thing. Someone needs to educate the docs sometimes...LOL.

Thanks to the fact there are actual ED docs (most Uros), that have treatment data and know that it can be a long trip.

GingerTom

I appreciated your reply. As with everything in life, the goal is to turn some disadvantage into a new advantage. And it looks like you have done it.

Regarding length of time until ED recovery: I'm 3 months post-op prostatectomy, which left me completely impotent at first. I have to start radiation now. With oral meds I can get about 70% erection now at 3 months, so progress has been made. But my urologist says there will be no more recovery once radiation starts. Does anyone have a different experience?

YES Me. My story has some similarities to yours as follows. I had made some progress back from ED before radiation started about 90 days after surgery. Radiation put me back to full blown ED till 1 to 2 years after.

We continued to use my pump and play with my penis to make sure it got lots of blood often but erections were a ways away. Loving was not gone just erections.

Then slowly they returned. Now I am just as likely to use 1/2 20mg generic Levitra and no pump or ring and have intercourse with a decent sized erection. It is shorter but stiff and feels good.

Some of my story can be found on this site at - viewtopic.php?f=3&t=149

Be patient and keep your penis in good condition.

If you ignore it - it will ignore you.
