Tri Mix Quit Working - Quad Mix?

I just turned 70, healthy, have no diagnosed illnesses (none of the classic ED causes) and am frustrated that my Uro can't fix my ED. Tried Androgel and it helped, but spiked PSA. Had two negative prostate biopsies and PSA is stable. Testosterone is now 291. Uro says nothing but an implant will work, but I'm not ready to permanently alter my anatomy. I know there are lots of satisfied users here, but my wife and I are just not there yet.

We had great results with Tri Mix for about 6 months, but it quit working - now just limp fullness, not enough for penetration. Tri Mix double strength was no better than single strength, have titrated both up to 80 units. Also tried straight Alprostidil up to 90 units with same result. Uro says I have venous leak and that's why the tri mix doesn't work.I've read several references to Quad Mix but my Uro isn't familiar with it. There are dozens of injection cocktails available, just trying to find a Uro who is knowledgable in finding the right prescription. Hoping someone out there can share some info on the effectivness of different mixes for specific symptoms.

Sorry to hear that your shots have gone kaput. And just after 6 months you came down with Venous leak?? I wonder what caused that? I kind of doubt that a stronger Quadmix will be any different than the double-strength stuff you tried. But you never know.

SOme guys who have not quite enough blood flow from trimix have supplemented the procedure with either a ring or some VED pumping beforehand. Something to experiment with.

Also, for one idea that is outside-the-box -- and one that I use with low strength nightly MUSE -- is to add a couple of Island Rings, not at the BASE but up just under the head of the penis. What this does for my low-dose MUSE is slightly restricts SOME of the OUTFLOW from the Corpus Cavernosi and allows the penis to get a pretty good hardness even with middling IN blood flow going in. It seems counterintuitive I know, but I've been using this method for about a year and it works.

Also unlike tight rings (which you can use only for 20 mins or so), these rings are very mild restricting, can be kept on indefinitely (or for as long as you might ever need for sure) and as a bonus even allows a really good fat and hard inflation of the penis head itself. And the rings have little bumps on them which the Missus might find interesting.

You can get em at Adam & Eve and places like that -- they come in 3 sizes in the pack. One two or three might do the trick. I suppose you could test the method just using some rubber bands first and then get the rings.

Another thing you may want to try is 10 mg (could be higher or lower) of daily Cialis. I take it to help with my pumped/constricted erections on non Trimix days, but it also helps on days I inject. Just a thought.

Wildhog - this is merlin It is basically unknown why venous leakage (which by the way is misnomer) or in reality it is dysfunction trabecular
smooth muscle, occurs. This may be a age-related phenomenon, but we do know it happens. The quad mix was first used perhaps 15 yrs. ago and
consisted of adding Atropine as the 4th additive. While some reported success, may have been a placebo thing - not sure. If you are where you say you are,
the prosthesis may be your next stop. Bye the way, in my 36 year experiance in sexual health, men who get the inflatable penile prosthesis love them.

Thanks for your reply and for sharing your great experience. You have mentioned the many variations of trimix and I see several pharmacies on line listing several trimix and quadmix formulas. How can I find a uro who is knowledgable and believes in injections? I got interested in quadmix after reading references to relaxing smooth muscle and corresponding referencs to smooth muscle and leakage. I have a VED and can get good erection but it leaks down almost immediately. Recently learned to use two rings and can maintain good E for about 10 minutes. Best I've had since trimix quit working. Now I'm concerned by your coments abot damage from rings.

Again thanks for sharing, and I hope to learn more from you. Injections are really my treatment of choice if I could find one that works again. FYI I'm in NW Ark if anyone can recommend help in nearby states.
