Kind of hurt my penis when I went down, but no damage. Drove stick shift without any issues. Still getting used to the feel of the pump. Anybody know how to deflate an AMS? Mine has the pump above the block. Can't seem to find a deflate button.

Just above the pump bulb on one side of the rectangular housing there is a small round button. When you press this button and hold for four second. This should set the cylinders to deflate. Once I've pressed and held the button I squeeze my penis to deflate it faster.

:o Be careful man. You don't want to break it before you get to use it. Glad to hear things are going well. Keep up the "good" reports. :D

Bluis, my pump is upside down. My bulb is at top, block is on the bottom. Dr. Montague said something about installing the smaller pump because of my scrotum size. I'm looking at the owners manual and it appears to be the older model pump. It us definitely not the MS pump. I thought I had figured it out, but no luck.

KB,
I found this pdf file on the Internet
http://www.hawaii.edu/hivandaids/Penile%20Prosthesis%20Users%20Guide.pdf
It is for the AMS 700CX It shows the pump the way you describe it. It tells how to inflate and deflate. I hope this is helpful.
Good luck

Bluis, the PDF is the same one I have and I have tried and tried but nothing happens. Guess I'll wait til I see Dr. Montague again. Also, my wife called me today (I traveled 14 hrs by car to sister's house in Georgia). Dr. Montague mailed a CPU of the operative reort to me. I had been trying to find out which implant I received since it could have been the AMS CX or LGX. I got the LGX. turns out though that my penis is a bit small, only 17cm stretched length. Well, guess I officially can't brag. Told my best friend the night I had surgery that Dr. Montague could not do the surgery on me because he didn't have an implant large enough for me. Didn't realize I could be heard outside my curtained off area. Nurse was with patient in the next bed. She nearly peed herself laughing. My friend, Tony, was silent and stunned. Then he heard laughter and realized I was yanking his chain. Who said surgery can't be funny? Scab is nearly gone from scar and itching situation is much better.

OK, Marino, I'm following your progress very closely 'cause I'm having my implant surgery on Monday, August 6th. and I'm very interested in having some idea of what to expect. I'm a lot older than you, 78 years old, but still a young "bird dog" at heart so I'm ready to get back in the chase. The "chase" being chasing my wife around the bed! Keep up the regular postings! 8-)

Buck, my uncle had his implant at age 70 and is still trying to wear it out 12 years later. No doubt you have much to look forward to.

Buck, cool. Where is your surgery being done? I'll be praying for you. I've posted nearly all I can about the surgery. Feeling just minor discomfort now. Only the scar. I'm driving back home to east side suburb of Cleveland, Ohio tomorrow. Not as afraid of the drive home as I was of the drive down. Coming out of southeast Georgia, three miles from Florida border. Romping around down here for a week with sister and 3 young nieces and a nephew and had no problems. Got implant on June 28th.

Now we will all be waiting for your posts. Good luck and may you be quickly on the road to hard times. Hope your wife is in good physical shape!

Well, just returned home from the Cleveland Clinic, followup with Dr. Montague. Said was a little early to pump me up, but I was healed up enough, so, up it went. Didn't hurt much at all. A little stinging sensation now since I did not fully deflate in the office. Said he wants me to wait to use it until the scab is fully gone from the incision. Of course, I'm a good, compliant patient. ;) I do have the older style pump, which Doc thought was a better fit for my scrotum. That's all for today. Anybody want to know more? PM me. Glad to answer any question about what I have been through.
