Do Implants increase size

I know very little about implants. Is it posible to increase the size (gith and thickness) of the penis with an implant? Do implants come in different sizes depending on the size of the erect penis?

Shipper, an implant will never give you more than God made you with. If your doc told you it will, find a new doc. You may be a little smaller with an implant. The only implant on the market that expands in both length and girth is the AMS 700 LGX (length girth expansion). Even it can not make you bigger than you were in your prime. You may be able to get closer to that size with it, but several other factors are involved. One is the elasticity of the tunica albuginea of your penis. It is the layer over the corpora cavernosa, the erection chambers. Hope this helps.

Also, best indicator of how big you will be with an implant is to have your partner give a good pull on your penis grasping the head. If your partner won't, your doc should when discussing implant with you. It is the doctors responsibility to make you aware of all of this before you sign the surgical consent. No matter which implant you get, all should provide satisfactory and beyond in the thickness department although you may be flatter and wider as opposed to the roundness that a natural erection provides. Also, the length of your implant includes the part of your penis that us inside your body behind the testicles. The depth from the bone there to the incision plus the depth from the incision to about halfway into the glans penis is the total length of the implant. For example, I have an 18cm implant. That is not all external and "usable" length. If it were, my wife would divorce me because intercourse would be like a stabbing every time. I only have about 5 usable inches up front. Not bad considering we have not had normal penetrative intercourse in nearly 7 years. I'm very happy with what the surgery gave me. I'll tell you more when she and I can use it.

as i understand, you can at least increase the girth with an inplant. My doc sugested this, saying that women appreciate the extra grith. I opted not to go that route and choose the AMS 700 LGX. I have seen for my self that over time by inflating the implant that you can stretch the tissue. How much, I don't know. But as a rule you should not plan on being any longer and more likely you may end up a little shorter but you WILL have a quality errection and that is what most are hoping for. The main issue here is getting an experienced surgeon.

I think that the most important thing to realize is that if you have come to the point of deciding on an implant, its because there is no other option for you. If you're able to have ENJOYABLE intercourse without it and are considering an implant as a way to increase size, DON'T DO IT... after 10 years of ED and trying every option, getting an implant was all the we had left. I can tell you that having a surgeon who will tell you the truth of what to expect is the key. I knew upfront that I would never expect to regain the size I had before ED, but regaining the intimacy that I feel intercourse brings is well worth the loss in size to me.

I gained size due to being born with ED. Depending on everyone's different body and condition of ED, you could gain size. If you have shrinkage or no increase in size from an erection, it will sure feel like you are bigger with an erection from an implant. But in most causes, there will be no gain.

I don’t have yet implanted, but this was the answer from my friend regarding length gain. Regarding girth, he get back all he had before the ED:

A LGX will expand 15% to 20% in length, but not beyond what you normally are. A good graphic is at www.amslgx.com/ That can take anywhere form 6 months to 3 years. In my case 1/2" in 3 months, 3/4" at 1 year and almost 1" in 18 months.

Bluis, I had my implant done in Houston by Dr. L Lipschultz @ Baylor 1/11/11. Did you use him? I thought Dr. Lipshultz did as near perfect a job as could be done. I don't know, but for me, just going to the Scott Urology Dept of Baylor is confidence inspiring since the late Dr. Scott basically developed the penile implant as well as the AUS.

He did do mine, and he was very upfront with what to expect. I have such severe plaque in the right cavernousa that he was afraid he wouldn't be able to insert a cylinder in it. He offered and I agreed that if he couldn't place a cylinder in there I would let him place one in the left side alone. He assured me that it would give me a very functional erection. This same plaque is what caused the loss of elasticity and size of my penis. After the surgery he told me that dilating the right chamber had been very difficult, but successful, and that he felt I would be very pleased... and I am.
I think the main point I was trying to make is find yourself a good doctor and be sure that you know what expect.
