Lost post on implants

Postby bubblehead » Tue Jul 24, 2012 3:05 pm

I posted a topic on testes fusing to pump and it shows two responses but they dont show up unless I go to my posts. I figured people couldn't respond if it doesn't show up under the implants discussion thread. my older post on another topic is visible.

I don't think its lost. The web server on this site is defective. Its been mentioned numerous times but never fixed. When browsers try to download a page, they check to see if the page has been updated relative to what it has locally in its cache. If there is no update, the local cache copy is used. The server does not send proper messages about page update status, so some browsers end up using the stale local cache even when there is new information on the server. This appears to affect some browsers, but possibly not all of them, and maybe not all OS's. The fix is to flush your browser cache before checking this site. Of course, if you wait a while, the cache will normally get cleared by itself. That also solves the problem with a delay. You see the responses because you're accessing a different page that wasn't in your browser cache.

I have this same issue if I use Google Chrome so I use Internet Explorer for Frank Talk. IE doesn't seem to have this problem for me :?:

I have the problem with Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome. I don't use Windows, but I suspect the IE doesn't have the problem and that lots of people use IE, and thats why there aren't too many complaints.

Exactly right. Firefox and Google Chrome seem to have that problem; however, Internet Explorer works every time. The problem is not with this site.

I have no desire to get into a flame war about browsers and Microsoft. The other browsers comply with published internet specs. This site does not comply. It is known that Microsoft IE has lots of non-standards compliant behavior, and that MS encourages web sites to cater to the non-standards compliant tweaks. That way, when the other browsers fail, they get people to claim exactly as you do, that the problem is the other browsers and not IE. That perpetuates the attempted MS monopoly.

Trust me. The real problem is the non-standards compliant behavior of the server on this site. Its only not a problem if you want for force everyone to use Microsoft IE.

I found something that seems to be working great so far. I installed an IE window inside Google Chrome. Just go to the Chrome Web Store and search for IE tab and install it. I seems to be running super fast compared to IE itself. Also it doesn't seem to be logging me off like IE was doing when I switched pages.
