Hello, this is Matthew

Postby Matthew » Fri Jul 27, 2012 8:29 am

I am 49 years old and married. I live in NM. About a year ago I started developing a bend near the center of shaft. A few months later ED started. I saw my doc and prescribed staxin. I got erections back some but all these pills like viagra and staxin give me a bad headache. My bend turned into full peyroines decease. I have a 90 degree in middle of shaft with erection. It used to hurt but not as bad now. I also have hour glassing there a bit. Last week my urologist performed a ultrasound and a few other tests. He concluded that a penile implant is the only answer. If they did grafting or other it would jsut make ED worse. After some study, I am going to Vanderbuilt and hopefully have Dr Milam put a LGX model in me. I am kinda excited and kinda scared.

Welcome Matthew,

Best of luck with your upcoming Penile Implant Procedure.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan 4+ years ago after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy.
Thankfully, it completely corrected my ED and restored my sex life and emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
I wish the same for you.
Coloplast manufactures the Titan
implant as their main implant. It is like
the AMS 700 CX only it is a better
implant for men who have a length
greater than 7 inches. It is slightly
thicker than the AMS implant and thus
results in better rigidity in men with a
longer penis.
To my knowledge, the Coloplast Titan is also recommended for men suffering from Peyronie's Disease.
You might want to discuss this with Dr. Milam at Vanderbilt.

Hope this is of some help.

Bob

Thanks Bob, I have lost a little length and girth. I measure about 6" erect and about 5" girth. I have read alot on titan and lgx. The LGX expands both length and girth over time. The titan is pretty much done upon operation. I have also read the lgx is more natural feeling/looking. My hope is Dr Milam can make the lgx work with my peyroines. He has done it with other patients and with good outcomes. My original size was a little over 6 1/2". I hope we can get it done to 6" and original girth.

Matthew, if you not scared and excited, I would say that there is a problem. You will be fine. Inwent into surgery with dozens, maybe hundreds of folks praying for me. My blood pressure was completely normal even as they were prepping me on the table. The pain, for me, was not that bad and well controlled. I actually went to the grocery store the day after my surgery. That was a big mistake. Just lay back, take it easy, and use the pain mess as necessary. I would suggest reading some of the surgical journeys under the topic, "Implants.". Mine is under "I'm in the Club." every post by a the guys contain something that may be beneficial to you. PM me for more info. Talk to you soon.

Matthew - welcome! I'm the proud owner of my "little bionic Leprechaun", an LGX I received on St. Paddy's Day 2011. I was back at work 5 days later! It appears you have done your research and are comfortable with the path you are going down. If you are like me, I had a lot of questions about what things would be like after the surgery, things the docs have no clue about! This site was priceless in getting me through all of that.

My story is posted in Implants and is called "LGX Log". Feel free to read and contact me with questions.
