Hello from South Alabama

Postby ftwabeck3533 » Thu Aug 22, 2019 9:01 am

I have posted a couple times here, so time to introduce myself. I joined "the club" or "prostateless band of brothers" in October 2018. Lots of stress last year which began with family Doc advising me to see a Urologist after an abnormal DRE (at least no more fingers going up my butthole). Yes, biopsy results were positive, with a couple 4+3 Gleason 7s. Went to see Dr Charles Bugg at Urology Centers of Alabama in Birmingham -- great guy and excellent surgeon. You all can help me interpreting this statement from my surgery report, "A right veil/left non-veil nerve sparing technique was performed". Sounds like my erections may return, which leads me to the ED rant. I am so fortunate that last two PSA checks have been <0.007 and incontinence issues lasted for about a month after surgery.

My academic journey to attain a PhD in ED began last November. I continue to learn, research, understand, and battle ED. Pumps, forget them (bought one, gathering dust). Sildenafil, 20mg a day for maintenance. Daily "exercises" (not Kegels), you bet. Inject, yes, swear by the Trimix. First Rx in late may, my wife and I love this wonder drug. One misfire the other day (maybe shot it into a vein?), all the other time resulted in long-lasting, firm (I mean hard) erection. Not too long-lasting, though. Anyone tried Sudafed as an antidote for priapism?

Also, anyone participating on "Inspire" and/or "MaleCare" (HealthUnlocked)? I am a regular on the latter website/community.

Stay tuned for more.
Born 1955, Erectile Dysfunction, Robotic Prostatectomy (Oct 2018, Dr Bugg @ UCA, Birmingham, AL), PSA<0.007, Trimix User (30 mg Papaverine HCL, 1 mg Phentolamine MES, 10 mcg Alprostadil per 1 ML. My dose is 0.16 ML)
