Re: Implanted today
Saw Kramer today for 4 week post op. He is a GREAT surgeon. And not just as a surgeon but generally as a doc. He's responsive and listens. Couple of things I'll pass along.
If you've used Cialis or tri-mix and they were somewhat successful (obviously for those of that went bionic...not completely), you can continue to use them to give your glans and outer side more tumescence. If you used have still have tri-mix. Put some of the liquid (NO NEEDLE) into your urethra. Yes you can puncture a cylinder if you use a needle anywhere near. The dosage is small. I was thinking of using one of those infant medicine syringes you can buy at CVS. There's also gel version you need an RX for but it's the same chemical in an easy delivery method.
I lost some length initially but he assured me that it'll come back in 3-6 months. If the heads of the cylinders are placed correctly the length returns.
Those of you cycling...you only need to cycle to max and stay there 5 minutes. For me, I inflate to max..can't squeeze bulb anymore...wait a couple minutes and then there's a couple more small pumps. I've read where guys are cycling 2 hours. That's fine if you're using it to entice spouse but not necessary to stretch the tissue.
I know there are questions on here about when to start cycling. That's the doctors call. Kramer initially said after my 4 week visit but I saw him at 2 because of a rather large hematoma (to be sure that was what it was). I had healed well enough that he pumped me to full that day and taught me how to pump and deflate. I've been cycling twice daily since.
And for those of you who are considering "retooling" as we call it in my household...
The hardest time for me was the first 2 weeks. I was not in pain but fairly uncomfortable. Even weeks 3 and 4 there are moments of real discomfort but not pain in the traditional sense. Parts are bruised. Bruises you can't even see. And I was waaaay more conscious of my penis at all times. And I was one of those guys that was always adjusting (New Yorker in me?). Just be patient. It'll all subside. I'm only 4 weeks in and I can see it's going to be great once this becomes the new normal.
One more thing I'll say about Kramer...
I'm a fairly nervous patient who researches everything so I've got just enough knowledge to be dangerous. He was great at keeping me calm and responding to emails or texts with pictures of what I seeing. I could not recommend him as both a doc and surgeon more. I'm sure there are other good docs out there. I'm not comparing one to the other. In fact I couldn't since I only experienced one doc. But if you're looking for a high volume surgeon, he's the gold standard.

Re: Implanted today
I really appreciate these updates and the pics. It’s really helpful to those of us who think an implant is not n our future.
Finding a GREAT surgeon seems to be the common theme of lots of happy customers here.
When trimix stops working for me I’ll get “retooled” with more knowledge and less anxiety because of guys like you.
Thanks

Re: Implanted today
Average age for implant is 61 from everything I have read. I don't think I would have done it earlier. But I was tired of sticking myself and it was less dependable. There's nothing worse than sticking yourself and STILL not having an erection you can depend on. LOL
