implant surgery
implant surgery
OK, guys, my implant surgery is day after tomorrow and , despite how glad I am about it, I still have some anxiety about the whole thing. I guess that's normal since I've never gone through anything like this before! If it weren't for you guys, especially a couple of you ( you know who you are), I would never have had the information and the input to make my decision...THANK you from the bottom of my heart!!! You just don't get this kind of first person real-life experience input from your URO. Thank God for my wife who is my strongest supporter, the one who gives me the strength and the direction in this new adventure. With her and God supporting me I know the results are going to be ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!
Re: implant surgery
Best wishes for a perfect outcome and a swift recovery. Hard time are ahead!

Buckshot,
Wishing you all the best with your up-coming Penile Implant Procedure.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan 4 1/2 years ago and, thankfully, it completely corrected my ED which developed
Post-Prostatectomy.
Here's to a speedy recovery and a lifetime of enjoyment with your new Implant.
Regards,
Bob

55 years old. ED since 2002 total venous leakage after penile fracture. Tried all the pills and injections all failed to help. Some success with VED, but felt too unnatural to both of us, seldom used. Implanted 06/21/12. Trying to wear IT out.
Re: implant surgery
Day 5 post-implant surgery...the scrotal incision site is very sore...other than that , the pain is minimal. I'm still way too swollen to be able to manually inspect the area to see where things are located. I can feel where the reservoir is placed but the inflate and deflate pump is still hiding in there somewhere. The entire area looks quite a bit like a big, black eggplant right now. My next visit with my surgeon/uro is on the 22nd. so maybe by then I won't be nearly as sore. Didn't realize that the simple act of sitting down would be such a delicate chore!

What really helped me was a "Inflatable Ring Cushion ($10) Amazon.com" ... sounds like you are progressing nicely ...

I sure can relate to the act of sitting, I got one of the horseshoe shaped travel pillows to sit on. Helped a lot

Re: implant surgery
day 10 post-surgery....seems like all of the burning discomfort of the surgery has moved to the far back starting spot of the scrotal incision. Still haven't found a way to get much relief from it, no matter what position I get in. Scrotum is still a bit too tender to really investigate all the" stuff "that is in there now...from a gentle "inspection" it kinda feels like it could be full of tinker toys! Still some bruising and swelling, but it gets better each day.
