Penis implant issues

Postby fnrldir07 » Sun Dec 01, 2019 11:24 pm

I have the Coloplast implant and it’s kinda feels partially
Inflated on one side and I haven’t been able to penetrate my partner for the last 3 times I have tried. We had sex like 3.5 weeks ago and then boom just stopped being able to have sex.

Could be a kinked tube to one cylinder. Does the other side inflate and deflate properly? Is there any pain while inflated or deflated?

Where is the pump riding? If it's riding too high, try to pull it down into the scrotum where it belongs and see if that frees up the kinked tube.

I've read somewhere (I believe it was on the AMS site) about a procedure to try to salvage a tubing kink malfunction such as this is to try to unkink the tubing by doing the following:

  • Pump up a little, then pull the penis OUT, UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT.
  • Try to pump a little more and repeat the pulling procedure, flexing OUT/UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT again.
  • Repeat the above at 10-20% intervals to try to unkink the tubing that's not working.

If all else fails, consult your surgeon asap. One member of FT had an issue one time where after bike riding or similar activity that his pump totally malfunctioned. It turned out that his pump had done some acrobatic maneuvers and the tubing was twisted, kinked and tied in a knot. That member had to undergo revision surgery to replace the pump.

I have an AMS device so I do not know how much help I will be. My LGX had one cylinder that would inflate and one that would only inflate after forcing pumps after the other was at max inflation. AMS has a DVD in a packet with a lot of info and fixes for problems. I did all of those, called my surgeon and he gave me another fix that helped very little and advised to keep trying. After over a week I made an appointment with a local surgeon and he had no clue. At the 3 week point I contact an AMS rep and was given another fix that was not in the video and that worked great. Wish I would have made that call 3 weeks earlier. Not sure how this compares to Coloplast. If you have any info from Coloplast with self fixes I would do those first. If you don't have that info or they don't work I would check with the surgeon and contact Coloplast and ask to speak with someone who might be able to help you with a self fix like the AMS rep did for me.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
