Limpy: I am the one that was asking how to find a Dr that would write a script for tri-mix. As you said, there in no pharmacy in Baton Rouge that compounds Tri-Mix. Will be working on that till I finish with my Caverject. That works great for me but man it is expensive. You would not believe how much that stuff cost.
Thanks again.

If you are using Caverject Impulse you can reduce the waste quite dramatically if you need less than half a shot. Simply prepare the applicator in the usual way until the needle is fitted, after that remove the needle and insert a standard syringe in the spot where the needle was, withdraw what you need and keep the rest for later. I used to keep mine refrigerated for around a month with no problems. Unless the solution is cloudy I suspect that age is not a problem except that eventually the effectiveness will reduce. I've used this technique many times without a problem and in my case it meant getting around four shots per syringe which meant an individual cost of around 25% of the original cost.

Re: Papaverine injections
I get my trimix from my uro along with some 28 1/2"/ 50 unit syringes. He said the 28 is the best because u inject a larger amount faster . Also the massage is great and try to inject an inch from the base especially if you small when flaccid. Be sure to stretch while injecting.
Re: Papaverine injections
For the record, there IS a compounding pharmacy in Baton Rouge that will prepare Trimix per the physician's prescribed formula. Pharmaceutical Specialties is located ayt 5211 Essen Lane, Ste 3, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Phone number is 767-1655. It's located in the office complex next door to the carwash on Essen Lane near OLOL Medical Center.

What I was doing was reacting to what I thought was the most recent posts without checking the dates. Every time I log on the sorting order seems to change regardless of how I had it set up! As a long time user of injection therapy I feel I can offer a lot of information gained over 15+ years. I have better things to do than post at random to old posts!

Thanks Jim, I'm currently using Firefox, I'll try the site with IE and see if that's better.

For the record, Mozilla always seems to think it's some other strange date a month ago.
Deleting cookies and other stuff sorts it until you make a post or something....then back to square one.
