I need to vent

So in a nutshell I was diagnosed with ED in September. Oral medication failed and I was diagnosed with nerve damage from diabetes. I began TriMix shots in December.

The dosage is: Papav/Phento/PG 1.25MG/.8MG/8MCG/ML

The doctor has taken me up to 60mL. I am able to gain an erection during oral sex, but then it dissipates a few minutes after she stops. I have never gained an erection
from any shot alone. The doctor has talked about going to max strength. But what happens if that doesn't work?

I can't sleep, I am very depressed and I feel like I am going to have the live the rest of my life without intimacy. I am tired of people telling me that intercourse
isn't the only form of intimacy. I need that closeness with my girlfriend.

I feel like the TriMix has already failed. The soreness and immediate pain that it causes me worries me.

How do you all stay positive? I can't believe that this is the end of my sex life. I tried to keep positive when the shots started, but now that the initial dosage
has run it's course, I am scared that the last dosage strength not might be it.

I apologize if this is over dramatic. It's early and I just needed to bang out some thoughts in a place where people understand my frustration.

I'd say give it some time. Experiment a bit with different medication, cock rings, pumps and whatever else. It might take a while to figure out what works well for you.

Then if all else fails... You can get an implant, most users here who have had one report very successful experiences, albeit not easy to live through.
Implants are a final solution but seem to almost always work, giving you a surefire method of erection on demand.


I can't and won't say "stay positive" Yada Yada cause I know it's pointless. I am not positive myself, I've just learned to live with it and try to ignore all the failures and enjoy the times medication works.
I am always looking for new methods and solutions tho, I am postponing a possible implant as much as possible.

There are solutions, hang in there, talk with doctors and explore.

It is perfectly normal to fail every now and then but men tend to overreact and think it's the end of their sex life. It's not and this only causes more stress and anxiety, which are major causes of ED.

I don't know the details of your case but you seem to be on the right track: you are well informed and getting professional help. That's great.

My advice: keep doing a lot of research on this subject. The more you know about sex, the less stressful it will be.

Moreover, we have every reason to be optimistic. The ED market is evolving quickly and the new MED2005 gel will be available soon. This new treatment is more effective than oral drugs and it could be the ideal solution for you.

When my ED became a full-time reality, I took the following steps:

I keyed in every doctor that I see--cardiologist, heart surgeon, internist, and, of course, urologist--about my Erectile Dysfunction. Fortunately, each of them is considerably younger than I am and they all agreed with my mantra: "This is not an acceptable outcome." Bottom line: they all talked to me and they all talked to each other.

After pills didn't work, my medical team (listed above) all agreed that "shots" would be the next logical step and that my urologist would be the "point man" on this. He prescribed Trimix and gave me my first shot (training purposes only) in his office. I had the finest erection I had experienced in probably ten years. The rest is history.

Both my Trimix solution and my dosage continue to work--and my medical team continues to work together to keep my alive and kicking.

You did the right thing and I'm glad the injections worked for you but in the future, they will probably become obsolete. I'm very confident about the new topical gel MED2005, it seems to be more effective than oral drugs and the ideal solution for cases of severe ED.

You mentioned oral drugs, have you tried Levitra? It seems to be very popular among diabetics.

First, I hope that the amount you used was 60 units, which is 0.6 mL. Second, in my view, the Trimix that you were prescribed is extremely weak. Listing things in the order that you did, what I consider a starter mix is 30-1-10. The strengths go up from there. For example, I use about 10 units (0.1 mi) of 30-5-50 to get a reasonable erection in spite of the problems I have with a venous leak. I have seen Trimixes that go as high as 30-10-100. I suggest you go back to your physician and ask for a much stronger prescription.
