My doctor explained to me that all the body's valves start to leak with age. It's wear and tear.
Read my post. I think it will provide information all of you can use:

Re: VED sucks my abdomen vacuüm (pic attached)
Born 1947. Live in Utah. Married 1995. 5'8". 160 lbs.
Health is very good. ED began from venous leakage (2003).
Used Cialis (2003-2017), penile injections (2018-2019), 4 implants (2020-2021), now have an AMS 700 installed.
Hobbies: Only one, my wife.

The mechanism of the penis is that engorgement of the penis causes constriction of the veins on the penis that drain the penis - it isn't normal for the penis to deflate when suction is released, unless you have a vascular condition.
There are one-way "valves" in your veins that prevent backflow of blood - this can be seen by "stripping" a vein, in which a tourniquet is applied and a finger is used to push blood backward out of a vein.
The vein remains flat because these valves inside the veins prevent backflow in the vein, which is a mechanism for maintaining venous blood pressure.
This happened to me in my late 30's, when I found I could no longer strip a vein, indicating my venous valves no longer worked.
This was also the point at which I began having rubbery erections and difficulty getting erections - in fact it was the point at which my "youthful vigor" began to wane. It also was the point at which it became difficult for me to achieve a "pump" in the gym.
It is not normal for your penis to deflate when pump vacuum is released - it is an indicator of a vascular problem.
When I visualise the mechanics of the penis working in my mind I do not see this occurring as you have described. Especially with modern insight into venous occlusive function in the penis.
If one was to force blood into the penis with a VED and the necessary pathways that relax cavernosal and helicine arteries and trabecular smooth muscle have not been engaged as they would through normal mental or tactile sexual stimulation, once that artificial force was removed the erectile bodies would begin to detumesce as the state of blood inflow is still the same as it was before using the device, restricted!
Arterial inflow needs to be in a constant dilated state for an erection to be maintained so as to keep the necessary pressure on the veins that leave the corpus cavernosum so that they remain compressed.
While using the VED these critical veins will become partially compressed because the pump is forcing the blood into the penis through the constricted cavernosal arteries, it is essentially sucking more blood in through these channels, than otherwise would be permitted.
In the normal erectile process it is not suction that causes an erection, like a VED does, it is increased flow from the above mentioned components due to vascular relaxation of smooth muscle.
In my opinion, what happens further down the track to do with veins and valves after the emissary veins and the subtunical venous plexus, which have been compressed by their proximity to the tunica albuginea, will not hinder erectile function.
What compromises the ability of smooth muscle to function in the penis correctly is IMO far more relevant, as is also the compliance and integrity of the tunica albuginea.
Much research points to this.
If you have a theory opposing this I am very open to reading it!
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.
