Instapundit had an article on the testing of MED2005, a topical formulation of glyceryl trinitrate for ED. In trying to research more about it, I ran across this article by a compounding pharmacy in California.https://www.woodlandhillspharmacy.com/nitroglycerin-cream-for-ed-and-med2005/
Anyone ever used nitroglycerin cream for ED. Any idea how much it costs?

Doesn’t look like this drug will be approved in its current form. The results during phase 1 and 2 were promising. However in phase 3 the results were still good but were similar to placebo. Now the drug maker is spinning it as a good thing saying that their patented absorption chemical is effective at inducing erections. And that’s a good thing, because it’s not a drug and can be brought market faster.
I’m not to excited about it. It’s like Tylenol saying are drug is now proven to be not effective but the capsules that hold the Tylenol are obviously effective.
However...that’s not stopping me from ordering nitroglycerin ointment typically used for hemroids.

DMSO helps transport ingredients through the skin. Mix them together and it might work faster. No guarantee though. Try it at your own risk.

Hi, did anyone try this?
Re: MED2005 topical formulation for ED
MED2005, now called MED3000, was proven as effective as it's 'placebo' Dermasys delivery system.
If you read the latest articles thoroughly you will find that the placebo was having as good as a result as the control MED3000, which is just the placebo + Nitro Glycerin. What that concludes is that the GTN itself did not achieve the desired results, but it was instead the placebo itself (the Dermasys delivery gel) that was inducing the erections all along. The GTN may have helped just a bit.
Futura Medical is now in conversations with the FDA.
If the Tylenol shells had been responsible for lowering pain and headache, it would have been found out in its trials way back when.
