Lifespan

Hi, i'm 22 yo with VL, no pills still work. I'm considering an implant, so i just want to know wich between ams and coloplast have more lifespan. thanks

I've had my Titan since 2008. It quit working a couple of weeks ago - will no longer inflate. No telling how long it wold have worked if I had ever used it, but it was never inflated more than a handful of times. I imagine you can count on at least ten years, and maybe more. But there's really no way of telling.

I have to agree with you from what I've read. However new innovations are always making things better and last longer. When you're ready for an Implant, talk to a good urologist that specializes in penile implants.

No arguement from me. As for future reliability improvements. I suspect that whatever the current failure rate might be. It doesn't appear to be hurting the manufacturers. If the cost of replacing implants was hurting them, they'd be in a hurry to improve the reliability.
That leads me to say that any near term improvements will be incremental in nature rather than earth shattering.
