There appears to be a relatively new surgical approach to restore the nerves that are responsible for erectile function, and the pleasure of stimulation.

The article was rather vague on details other than it's generally reserved for RP patients. I don't see how this would work with restoring penile vascular function though. Nerve endings and blood flow are two different things.

Hi Guys,
I actually looked into this last summer and fall and almost pulled the trigger.
I meet both Dr.s on through line appointments to see f i was a candidate, and viewed the medical journal procedures. They take nerves from both legs and place it at your groan and into your cock shaft on both sides. The nerve tube provides a path for nerve regeneration and take roughly a year for results to show. This apparently has been around and is used in south america with minor results, they claim an improved technique. The nerve Dr works with infant facial nerves normally. I meet Combs on his visit to NYC. Nice guy, very positive. side effects are a numbness on the side of both feet from the nerve harvesting. Takes a couple weeks to learn to walk steady but his patients say it worth it to have a natural erection again. The cost for the procedure and hospital stay really isn't bad 25k, but you have to factor the airline tickets for two, staying for 4 weeks before returning home and a final visit a year later. Figure 50k total. i am 8 years out and he was willing to perform the surgery as i met his requirements, great physical health, no smoking, great shape exercise regularly under 65 etc and most important pre-prostate surgery had a working dick. I spoke with him several times and discussed with others and if i had it done would have wound up in lockdown in Australia. He genuinely wants to improve the results to 100% and still does not know why it sometimes doesn't work. In the 72% are guys who still need viagra but had been dead as a door knob like me before (hell i would be thrilled if i only needed a pill).
My decisions not to go for it was not the money (my wife was all for it...you can not take it with you attitude). I had been told pre-prostate surgery that i had a great chance of getting my erection back. At the time i was 52, healthy and drank the Koolaid that all would be fine. After i learned the truth suicide seemed the answer, it was a very dark time and it was only Frank Talk and all you guys who helped me. My decision not to do it was that i did not want to get my hopes up again it was to devastating, even if i was more realistic about the possible outcome. The injections work for now, but going bionic is now in my future and it has a high rate of success. So i spent the money on a classic car.
That was my decision but if your interested its worth talking to them and it might be for you!!

Sorry also, regarding requirements, my prostate treatment did not include any form of radiation.
The other interesting note is that in Australia they tell men that you will only have a 10% chance of getting your natural erection back. I discovered in the US the results include the use of VED, pills and Injections to the return of erection success rate.

Silverdaddy. Did your URO surgeon say he removed all your nerves. My URO told me he removed ALL of mine. I was also devastated at 72. Got an implant but, glans and shaft still have very little blood flow. Very Cold numb dick with a inflated rod in the center is just not the same as a blood filled dick by ANY means. Average time to get nerve regeneration is 24 months. 97% satisfaction rate of implants is because most implanted guys still have blood flow. Just not enough to make it hard enough for penetration. They don't have our problem. I heard about this procedure after getting my implant. If I was younger I would do it just to get blood flowing back in my implanted dick. I should change my signature to "dickcicle".
