sex at 7 weeks post implant
sex at 7 weeks post implant
Well, The glands get sore. I did not get erection in head but did one time with foreplay. My hard penis was hard to enter her vagina but because of soft head it underminded the implant imo. I did it but I may start taking viagra in small does. I know in time the pain in the glands will go away. I expect positive improvements. I could not even orgasm but got my wife to orgasm but stopped right after because of pain in tips. I guess I just need to keep at it.
Re: sex at 7 weeks post implant
I am 3 weeks out and because of my fall the surgeon deflated me and I went back for a checkup he told me to pump and deflate once a day. I find it very awkward to grasp the pump and squeeze the pump and it hurts like hell on the scrotum to squeeze the pump and deflate button AMS700CX. I can only get maybe 2 full pumps and the pain stops me. I also lose grip on the pump and it slides out of my fingers and that causes even more pain. I went back to pa and he had no trouble squeezing the pump 10 times. I guess it is just better from his angle. My glans gets very sore and tender and does not become engorged even with some lube and hand play. I have climaxed several times after much stimulation. I can't really say it was enjoyable. I am 4 weeks away from being given the green light to attempt intercourse and right now it does not even interest me because of the discomfort when pumped up slightly. I know this is a longer than normal recovery and I am not a very patient person and I do not handle the pain very well. I just wish I could get the pumping thing down. I may go back to Dr again before my 7 week appointment just for reassurance that all is normal. I was hoping for my night time need to be erections to return but so far they haven't I know the sex will get better for you with less pain but it is going to take time. Jim

Re: sex at 7 weeks post implant
I have a Titan OTR, not an LGX, like Mattew or a CX like Jim. I'm about 8 months post-op. But, I was instructed not to even start inflating at all until 6 weeks post op. At that point, inflation was not too painful, but "max inflation" definitely was. It took about 3 more months before max inflation was not painful. If you think intercourse should be pain free at 7 weeks, I submit you haven't read much in the way of the varied experiences here on FT. If you think pumping at 3 weeks shouldn't be painful, I say you also haven't read much. Most, like me, don't even start inflating until weeks 4-8, or sometimes later.
Learning to pump takes practice. Having the pump slip away is pretty common till you learn what works for you. It also gets much easier when you're more healed. 3 weeks to start pumping is very, very early. Be patient and give it time.
If you read back through the archives, and lots of different experiences, its quite common for initial intercourse to be painful, and many recommend painkillers at first. It is also common, but not universal, to have difficulty with orgasm during intercourse, at first.
Its also quite common to not get engorgement of the glans, as well as the rest of the spongiosum. Sometimes this too gets better with time. Sometimes it can take more than a year, sometimes it never returns.
"Soft head", not sure what you mean. If you mean lack of glans engorgement, well I already commented. If you mean some version of "floppy head", ie the tips of the implant don't go far enough into the end and into the glans, well, that's different. This has happened to quite a few implantees. With an LGX it may get better with time. Seems to me the LGX is often sized so that until you get the full stretch of the LGX, the implant will be a little short. However, I've read about LGX as well as Titan owners with "floppy head" that never gets fixed without revision surgery (ie. replace the implant).
To both of you. You needs lots of time...3-6 months at the very least, before you can evaluate where you are. Be patient. In my case, I'm very happy with the outcome in just about every respect. But even at 8 months out, I find I'm still adapting to feelings and use during sex.

THIS! Holy balls you two. Give it some time and heal. I fully understand the urgency to want to enjoy the new toy, but the pain is a sign to stop. I also understand that all doctors are different. Your doctor told you that this time frame was OK, mine did not. I had to wait 9 weeks before my post op visit (activiation) and an additional 3 weeks to pump and stretch the skin.
Just throwin out my 2 cents, take it for what its worth.

Re: sex at 7 weeks post implant
Thanks for the encouragement to be patient. We need that sometimes. I feel like it fits good up in the glands. It is not so much floppy as it is very soft. I did realize that many folks commented on pain during intercourse that early. I guess I am not overly excited about trying it again for a couple days. I did get the feeling that some got after it with sex even with pain. I am not there yet lol. I told my wife to give me a 3-6 months to really get where I want to be. We are working slow and will try a couple more times this week I am sure. I pump it up twice a day and it hurts after about 20 min fully pumped. Thanks

Thanks Minnesota for reminding me I need to be patient-that is just not one of my virtues. I have decided to not pump up for a week and let some more healing happen. I had to step back and realize that I had broken facial bones from my fall and they do not heal overnight either. Thanks for the reminder. My implant surgery has been remarkable with no pain, no swelling, or bruising. I guess that made me think the healing progress should be as easy-but I had read all the posts and should have known better. Jim
