Hurricane Sandy

Postby dtwarren1942 » Tue Nov 06, 2012 3:43 pm

Anyone else effected by Sandy. We are just finishing up our eighth day without electricity, phone, or cable. Our cell phones had no connections for four days. We finally were able to secure a motel room within 50 miles on Monday. We went back home this morning to vote and stopped by the house and found the temperature inside had dropped to 49 degrees. However, we feel lucky that we still have a house to eventually go home to. Many of the homes in our community closer to the ocean are no longer there or require significant rehabilitation.

Blessings to you and yours, DT. Those of us in South Louisiana know how challenging this can be. Stay safe.

We got our power back late Monday night. 8 days without it. We were refugees into NYC for a few days to get warm. Now it's Winter Storm Athena as they are now calling it! 4" of snow and 40 MPH winds. One week after a hurricane? This is really nuts! Stay safe everyone!

Checked the house today and found power has finally been restored. Thanks to my brother-in-law and his wife for putting us up for the past tw nights. The motel bills were beginning to become burdensome. I hope the defrosted Trimix (ten days but under 50 degrees) is still effective.

DT

The trimix should be fine because the refrig is a lot colder than that. When my power went of in June I had to ice mine because it was hot.

A cold house can help the libido, your wife's lol lol lot of cuddling and foreplay
