Hi there,
I am experiencing the most difficult time of my life. I think I am pretty depressed and hopeless. Here is the reason;
I started using Sildenafil as a performance enhancer. I have never had any erection problems on those days (24-25-26 years-old). Since I loved the performance with the pill, I started using it with one night girls and short term girl friends. Later, I had a relationship for 4 years and I used the pills almost all the time. After a break-up, I stated dating 10 year younger girl with me, and I wanted to have a kid with her. We did. Everything was going well until these last two months. After the pills I ordered almost two years ago ended, I ordered new ones from another website. The new pills came and right after that I realized that something was weird. I could not get the erections and performance I had before. I thought they sent me some fake pills so I decided to get some more from Bluechew. Unfortunately, same results. Random erections, not erected when needed, short erections. A few times, I got soft during penetration.
After all these, I had to start talking to my GF because things got really messy down there. I went to a urologist and he told me that I am too young, so he gave me 20 mg generic Cialis and recommended me to use a cock ring. First time I used the half of the pill and I did not see any effect in 2 hours or so, but the next day I had erections and one of those erections I was able to have sex again, which I missed a lot. Later,I thought I got what I need...Guess what? I spoke too early. I used the whole 20 mg and again 2-3 hours no effect, but the next day, some erections cool. The last time I used 10 mg again, but did not feel anything next day either. Durex pleasure ring is not really for me because I did not feel comfortable.
I am getting crazy at this point. This is affecting my relationship and personal psychology. Since this is already too long, I can mention about this later.
At this point, I wonder if anybody went through a similar experience as me. Was there anything worked better than Cialis and sildenafil after getting tolerance to them? (I had no idea that there was such a thing)
Thanks,
ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN...

Re: ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN...
Same thing. I started using Viagra at 29 as a "performance enhancer" and used it all throughout my 30's with raging success every single time. Boner pills I used to call them. Used them on my wedding day and years later got my wife pregnant both times jacked up on sildenafil. Didn't matter where I bought them they always worked, even if I wasn't even with a girl or even horny they would still work. I always had pills within arms reach, took them sometimes for no reason other than I wanted a hard on, and could split a 100 mg pill and feel the effects 10 minutes later even just staring at a wall. I could get hard and stay hard for a very long time without a problem. I was a stud and I never gave a thought to that ending. Why would it?
Eventually, my marriage collapsed due to nonexistent sex from the pills losing their effectiveness and my reluctance to be honest with her about what was going on with me. After my divorce about 3 years ago (I'm 49 now) I ordered some pills and tried one and nothing happened. Like you I thought I got a hold of a bad batch so I freaked out and saw a doctor for an actual prescription for both Viagra and Cialis. I remember actually being scared to take one because what if even those didn't work. They didn't. That began a long road of TRT therapy, injections (which didn't work and were very painful), vacuum devices, and experimenting with non-FDA approved medicines hoping to find a solution.
One day the pills worked, the next they didn't. Super frustrating to say the least.
Is there anything that works better than Cialis and sildenafil after getting tolerance to them? No. I'm sorry but that is the truth. It sounds like maybe Cialis is still working for you in some regard.
I haven't had a penile implant yet but it looks like that's where I'm headed. I can't even date right now because I'm too embarrassed. Sucks.

First, welcome to the forums. There are many awesome members here willing to provide advice based on years of experience. There's no such thing as a stupid question so feel free to ask anything.
As for your issues... it sounds like there is a lot going on here. I would take a step back for a moment and breathe. ED in many cases is both psychological and physical. Concerning the psychological, many of us have put a lot of pressure on ourselves to be constant "studs" and sometimes we try to have sex when we aren't really horny. Also, in your case with having a younger partner, you might feel more pressure to perform better and more often then your libido warrants.
Concerning the physical, start with a new Urologist and request a penile doppler. You need to have your penis' health checked out. You may have venous leakage or other issues contributing to ED.
Feeling depressed is something that most men experience when their little buddy doesn't work on his own anymore but don't feel hopeless. When pills stop working injections will be the next step and for many men injections work quite well.

Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

I am so sorry to hear that you had to break up. I felt a little more anxious after hearing your story... my hope was injections(sounds painful I know) or ved. For you none of them worked. Were you able to find out the underlying reason for your Ed?

Thanks for your supportive approach. I think I should definitely get the Penile Doppler. I do not even know if I feel horny anymore since I am always running away from the feeling of failure.
Re: ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN...
I can't take the pills due to crushing migraine afterwards but for me when I could take them Levitra was a miracle. I could cut a 10mg tablet into 4 pieces and a piece would give me nearly instant erections with just the slightest touch over a 3 day period. Cialis did absolutely nothing at all. With viagra i saw only a blue world and I think it increased ringing in my ears. But Levitra was the absolute bomb.
With injections I could get a super nice hardon at 6 units on a 50 unit syringe but couldn't ejaculate and had zero sensitivity from head to base. My wife hated it because I could thrust away for 45 minutes and never finish and she'd always get a UTI afterwards and so after a few times it was like "uh, no...not tonight or ever again if you're on that stuff" so I ditched the injections.
Testosterone did nothing except shrink my balls to the size of almonds. It did however help me emotionally/mentally to get past a lot of growing up baggage. My levels when I started were 250. When I stopped taking it after 3 or 4 yrs, I took Clomid to get my balls back which happened rather quickly. The emotional/mental effects of being on T have stayed and my T level hovers around 450.
However, my life, all of it, revolves around migraines and so I'm concentrating on that. But maybe try Levitra and see what happens?

Re: ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN...
I wasn't as young as you when the same problems developed, but here's my 2¢ worth;
Started with Viagra at about 52 years old. Worked well for a few years then it was hit or miss. Started giving me migraines the next morning too. Went to Trimix injections, those worked well for a couple of years, but then started becoming unreliable. Upped the dosage to the point I was having pain for 2 days after. Moved to Quadmix, and again that worked well for a couple of months but soon failed. Next step was my implant.
My wife is 17 years younger than me, so keeping something working in my pants was a must. Anyway, remember this is a medical issue and not your fault. Unfortunately it can affect men at any age. Keep pushing forward, it'll be worth it.

Just a comment. If you were taking pills you were probably self medicating for early ED.
I wouldn't think tolerance to PDE5i's would be any more so than, say alcohol, and with alcohol, abstaining for 3+ months will reset the tolerance, for example.
