Hi,
I would like to say thank you to you guys. I am a 41-year young gay men. I started to have erection problems when I was 32 years old. Over 9 years, I tried many therapies (testosterone replacement therapy due to hypogonadism, daily tadalafil, shockwave, vacuum pump), to cope with the ED. Lately, despite high libido, no erection. Last year, I was diagnosed with vasculogenic ED in the ultrasound examination. I tried the shockwave therapy. It helped me to respond to pde5i, but my case was already very bad from the beginning on - lately no erection, despite 10 MG tadalafil diary, all efforts and sports routine.
After reading many posts, I decided to move on to a permanent solution - an implant. Yesterday, it was the great day. I was very anxious. Fortunately, everything went well. So far, I have not experienced much pain. I feel a discomfort where the reservoir is located. It is like a muscle ache. No pain in the penis or scrotum. Today, I went to my surgery to remove the drain and catheter - this bit was painful.
.
Now the implant is inflated to 40 %. It feels firmer than the erection I used to have in the last months. I am thankful to Dr Giulio Garaffa (International Andrology London). He and his great team did a great job from the beginning to the end. Outstanding! I got an AMS 700 LGX - 21.5 cm in total.
I thought that it would be a much more painful and aggressive procedure. I must mention that I had had two penis enlargement operations in the last two years. The first, a ligamentolysis plus fat transfer, the second a top up in the fat transfer. It has become a girthy fat penis (18 cm girth in the flaccid state).
Compared to the last two procedures, I am happily surprised that the penile implant has been much much less painful. I hope that my penis be back in function after the recovery time. So far, I must say that I am 100% happy. Of course, this is not a cosmetic surgery as the previous ones were.
I am looking forward to learning how to inflate and deinflate the implant.
Hopefully, with a routine of pump cycling, I will not get any length loss.
Once again, thanks for sharing your stories. It inspired me to go for the implant!
Please feel free to share your insight with me.
I will keep you posted.
Kind regards,
Bulgeboy

Dear Silver Daddy,
Thank you for the kind words and wishes. I am recovering well. Today my scrotum has become a bit swollen. No pain or discomfort, though. It seems that my scrotum didn't enjoy me returning to work today. Let's see if it gets better tomorrow. Otherwise, I will need to rest a bit more.
I will keep you posted.
Kind regards,
Bulgeboy

Hi FMLFML85,
Thanks for the nice words! My penoplasty (ligamentolysis and 2x fat transfer) was done by Dr Franklin Kuehhas. He is also a great urologist. However, it seems that he is no longer working in London, but in Vienna.
In this journey, I was very lucky to have found these two great doctors. Both Franklin Kuehhas and Giulio Garrafa are extraordinary urologists with huge experience in all the procedures I had on my penis and several other more challenging conditions that other guys may be experiencing.
I hope it helps you in your future plans.
Kind regards,

Day 6 - update
Hi,
I am glad to share that my scrotum is less swollen than yesterday.
It is improving... No pain. Implant has been left 40% inflated. It will take a bit time to be able to activate it, I guess.
Kind regards,
Bulgeboy

Day 7
Hi,
Today I had the pleasure to visit Dr Giulio Garrafa for a follow-up. I am delighted to share with you that I am recovering very well. My scrotum is much much less swollen than it was some days ago. No pain. The wound is healing well too. I found a bit difficult to find a brief that could keep my enhanced penis firmly in place. Perhaps the comment below may be useful to guys with a similar "problem". I found a good brief in Amazon.co.uk, it is the Hom - Mini Briefs 'Boxerlines HO1' for Men. It keeps everything firmly at the right position. If I need to walk a bit, I just wear another brief on the top. Then the bulge is very well packed. It is very confortable too. The bulge stay in place with excellent scrotal support.
Very importantly, even when not feeling pain, the anti inflammatory drug must be taken as prescribed, and not as needed. I learned this too.
Both actions together help us to recover smoothly.
I am very happy with the progress. In few weeks, it will be the great day to learn how to activate the implant. Meanwhile, no exploratory soft touches on the pump resting is the key for a good recovery.
I will keep you posted about the progress.
See you soon!
Kind regards,
Bulgeboy

Re: Day 1 - after implant.
Nice pictures. Have you had girth enhancement if I may ask? I've had PMMA, and your shape looks similar to mine and other cases I've seen of it.
50 yrs old. E.D. issues started around age 35, combo venous leak/testicular failure. Bilateral testicular implants for severely atrophic testes. Implanted 6/11/20 Dr. Kramer LGX 21cm + 1.

Hi,
Thanks!
I had two fat transfers for girth enhancement, but this was in 2018 (ligamentolysis plus fat transfer) and 2019 (2nd fat transfer) .

After 5 weeks
Sorry for the silence! It has been 5 weeks since I received my implant. I am glad to share with you that everything went well! I am fully recovered and impressed with my superpowers: hard as steel erections, at any time, for as long as I wish.
I learned very quickly how to inflate and deflate the implant. I didn't perceive any loss in length or girth. I got a AMS 700 LGX 21cm. The pump gets much easier to handle after a while. The sensitivity of my penis has not changed, perhaps improved. My feeling is that it is a gets better everyday. Overall, I am 1000% satisfied. My big thanks to Dr Garrafa and his team at International Andrology London!
