Re: how much the pills help
I believe the effectiveness of the pills depends on the cause of the ED. In my case ( diabetes) I found 25 mg of Viagra was effective for the first five years but as the ravages of higher blood sugar levels took its toll by reducing circulation and increasing nerve damage (neuropathy) I had to increase the dosage up over the succeeding five years until 100 mg and even 150 mg no longer could get the job done without constriction which I used for an additional five years before resorting to injections.
If the ED is caused by a venous leak or other medications, the effects of pills could be completely different. Perhaps those suffering from other forms of ED will contribute to the thread.
People react differently to the pills. For me, I could occasionally use Viagra five days a week, but not on a regular basis. Currently I am taking 10 mg of Cialis daily to help on non Trimix days when I use constriction to achieve and maintain my erections.

No. I do, however, use Trimix very successfully several times a week. This morning I took my daily 10 mg of Cialis along with 5 gr of l-arginine and 50 mg of. Viagra and after an hour achieved a strong semi (50%) which I brought up to a hard erection with the aid of my Osbon constriction band. Thirty minutes later, my erection faded quickly when I removed the constriction. Since this was my first opportunity to enjoy extended sex since Sandy rolled through. I decided to inject Trimix. It worked well for the first ten minutes but my erection started to fade a little after ten minutes. However, I did encounter some problems hitting the target and may have lost some of my Trimix during the false starts. Being desperate, I slipped on my Osbon band and brought it back up to 100% for the next 20 minutes during which time both of us were able to reach orgasm. I guess you could call that a belt and suspenders situation.

Re: how much the pills help
My experince has been very similar to dtwarren1942. Since much of my recent experience has been with injections, please see my detailed response in the Injections Forum. Bluewhippet
80 year old Type2 diabetic, long term ED, pills then injections PGE1. After 4 years they became less effective. Implanted 20/3/2018 by NHS. AMS 700 CX 15+4 cm with MS pump. Never had any significant pain. Still working perfectly and used regularly.

Thank you (dtwarren1942 & Bluewhippet) for your response .....i can see how useful will be the cock ring in minimizing viagra/ cilais doses and improving the response to them
i am not sure coz i have no experience with injections but i guess viagra might help reducing viagra dose or augmenting it , in case it stop working.
Bluewhippet thanks ...i will check your thread in the injection board .
