Take 2

Postby gregorbehr » Thu Nov 29, 2012 2:58 pm

I'm rescheduled for 12/26 for implant surgery. Not the most convient date, but if I want to try and get it done this year before my out of pocket doubles in 2013, I don't have much choice. :?
Going to have travel half way across the state Christmas night, to be back in time for surgery in the morning. And I'm trying to shake down the "support team" of friends who may actually be in town that week to take me, bring me home the next day and help me out around the house for the first few days.
I'm still leery that I'll run into the same problem as last time, when 8 hours before surgery the anesthesiologist will decide he's too spineless to gas me, since I had a heart attack in October. So not really getting my hopes up... plus trying to get lab work, EKG and primary doctor sign off the week before Christmas is going to be a slight nightmare to figure out!!!
But IF this all falls into place, I'll be celebrating New Years with an ice pack, a semi stiffy, and a huge glass of champagne!

I'll keep y'all posted....

Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.

Wish vyou all the best and timely success.

Hope you don.t need the ice pack to go with your semi-stiffy. I was fortunate, not enough swelling or soreness to need the ice pack

Good luck to you. Please post as you journey through this. I will do the same. Seems like Christmas time is a popular time to become the bionic man.
